Wish I saw all these reviews called them cause my husband needed a rekey for his jeep cause it was broke called elis figuring it was going to be cheaper than a shop and they come to you. Guy was over an hour late and charged my husband 900$ my husband just paid them instead of coming in to tell me. Tried calling to speak to a manager and they keep saying someone will call. Definitely way over charged for a rekey these people just scam you out of money

This company is a con game. There is no contact info other than a phone number on the website. The phone number claims to be an out sourced answering service, but it’s really just a wall put in place to not be able to complain to “upper management”, as they call it.

Do not waste your time or money. They should be stripped of any business license or certification. Beware!!

I needed a dead bolt changed out on a door to a business. He said he could be there in 20 minutes. He looked at the door and said with the damage to the door with all the previous locks that had been broken due to vandalism, the job would be $1500. I needed the job done and the owner approved. He did the work and two hours later when he was figuring out the invoice he charged me over $2,000!!! He had a $172 service call, and $1500 for parts and labor and never figured tax right and I know tax is not $328!
I was clearly over charged. Be sure you get a written estimate for work BEFORE THE JOB IS DONE!!!!!
Btw. The part he used was less than $50. I was grossly over charged !!!

    AVOID!!

Refused to give me a qoute to get a second key for my vehicle. Told me that “The technician will give you a qoute on scene.” When he arrived he tried to scan my car right away, and after I told him I wanted a qoute first. He said it would be 400$ for the key, and another 150$ for the program. And after I told him that was absurd, he tried to bargain the price; when I told him I wasn’t interested he got angry with me for not paying. And then told me I had to pay a 40$ service fee for the trip. (Which had not been mention on the website or over the phone) Overall extremely sketchy, and scammy. Avoid using!!

I called about my keys being locked in my trunk and asked how much it would be and the operator told me the lock smith will give an estimate once they are there which was already bad news but just wanted to get it over with. Locksmith got here and couldn’t get in because it is a 2012 subaru legacy and has no key hole or latch/handle on the trunk as well as no manual lever to open it or trunk access through the back seat. All things that I mentioned to them before they got here because I knew it would not be a traditional lock pick. Still told me the operator will let me know once they got here. Spent 30 minutes while the dude tried taking apart the key hole among other things and ultimately told me there’s nothing he can do but still had a $19 call fee despite no mention of that on the website or on the call. I paid it because the dude did genuinely give it a good effort and even tried calling some of his colleagues to see if they had any tools that could do it but they obviously didn’t. If there is going to be a flat rate regardless of outcome, no problem with that, but when someone asks how much it’ll costs, even though they won’t know the end price, spending 2 seconds to say “however there is a set call rate of $19” would be considered good practice.

Eli's portrays itself as a local and fair provider of locksmith services, but they are not. They grossly misrepresented how much their services would cost. I was locked out of my house late afternoon. I also had somewhere to be. In a panic, I started googling locksmith services and unfortunately found & called Eli's. They took my info and said that someone would call shortly. Someone did & said that they would be there in 10 minutes. The guys showed up quickly. One spoke English ok with a thick accent & the other did not speak English at all. It was hard to understand them. I felt pressured into giving them the go ahead to get me back into my house & I really wanted back into my house. I should have stayed calm, but I felt like I was in crisis mode without any other immediate solutions or alternatives. It was my understanding that there was a $125 service call and $75 per lock charge. They tried to pick the lock on the front door without success. They sawed & drilled out the deadbolt lock on my back door. They replaced the deadbolt lock and doorknob with DE Guard branded ones. When it was time to pay, they informed me that they only take cash or credit and that there was a 2% credit card fee AND that the total was $600 $60 for tax. I tried to negotiate, but all they waived was the 2% credit card fee. Afterwards, I had time to reflect and do some research. I was feeling like I had been taken advantage of especially being a single woman in distress. I found warnings about a locksmith company charging excessive prices and using unscrupulous tactics. FOX4 Problem Solvers even had two stories about such companies and also mentioned that the MO Attorney General was aware of such scams in the past. https://fox4kc.com/news/problem-solvers/kansas-city-area-locksmiths-with-mysterious-owners-charging-absurd-rates/ https://fox4kc.com/news/problem-solvers/former-kansas-city-area-locksmith-speaks-out-on-corrupt-owners-absurd-rates/

Absolutely trash company. Pushy on the phone and pushy in person. Zero customer service skills across the board please call someone else. Charged me for a new ignition cylinder they didn't even touch. Totally a scam and they deserve to go out of business asap.

Would give 0 stars if I could. This guy charged me $400 to get into a locked car. Took him almost an hour to show up. He told me the charge would be $275, which I thought was high but perhaps going rate. When he gave me the bill, it was for $400 plus $40 tax. He said the extra $125 was for a service call. I just had another guy do exactly the same thing for $60, and that is apparently what I should have been charged. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. They are pulling a scam.
