The first thing I told this guy was that I had just been scammed by another mechanic, and he assured me that he hated scammers. I specifically asked if he had the right scanner for my car because my check engine light kept coming on, and the last mechanic said he couldn’t fix it. He promised me he had the proper scanner and could diagnose the issue.

He also charged me $30 for a full thing of oil, claiming my oil was low and kept the oil for himself. He charged me five dollars for my pigtail, but end up charging me the whole fee for running the scanner when he told me he would not charge me if he fixed what was wrong, which was the code that was poppingUp. He never fixed the code. He told me I didn’t have to pay him until my issue was fixed, but I still went ahead and gave him his service fee for coming out. He assured me that if the code came back on in a few days, he would return to fix it.

A few days later, I contacted him when the code reappeared. He said he couldn’t come back because his son had an issue at school. I understood and asked if he could come on Monday. Monday came, and he never answered his phone. I haven’t heard from him since.

Now, I’m still dealing with the same problem after already spending $200 with another mechanic . $I turned around and paid him 160 the issue remains. At this point, it looks like I’ll have to go to the dealership because these shady mechanics in Nashville are just out here trying to scam people for money to pay their rent.

Be careful with this guy. As I read the reviews, I see that they are accurate he is unreliable and unprofessional, despite portraying himself as otherwise. He is not a man of his word. Also, beware he may try to respond in the comments to make himself look good.

I called Scott for help with an inspection and he proceeded to scrutinize why I was reaching out for an inspection. I needed to turn in an inspection report to my lienholder so that they would accept a reduced payoff since the car is visible/operationally not drivable. Scott then proceeded to discredit the fact that the car was not drivable and sat on the phone for 5 mins telling me why my car is fine as opposed to scheduling me an inspection and seeing for himself. He even asked me at one point “Whats in it for you?”. Excuse me?! All I wanted was an inspection but instead I was treated like a fraud and lectured about how he has a business to protect. I don’t know if this was because I got on the phone saying I knew what was wrong (because the vehicle was inspected prior), but this man was totally unreasonable. Luckily, Mobile Mechanics of Kansas City came out the next day, took care of it, and the car is now paid off. DO NOT CALL SCOTT IF YOURE SERIOUS ABOUT GETTING WORK DONE.

Completely unprofessional, we called Scotty's mobile mechanic to change the brakes ,rotors on our car mind you I told him from the first phone call that the brakes were extremely bad and it would not be good to drive it anywhere he insisted that I meet him at advance auto upon arriving the vehicle was parked and couldn't be moved bc the back brakes locked up Scott wanted us to wait inside so he could begin to work and within 20 mins of him being there he took the back brakes off and threw them on the ground and left now the car has no breaks at all and Scotty was nowhere to be found and blocked my number and ignores my calls very bad business I wíll never give him a good review in fact he's a scam artist don't trust him

Scott is not only a good mechanic, but an honest, down-to-earth, decent guy. He will tell you what is up, and if for any reason it’s a problem he can’t fix, he will give you good advice about what to do next. I’ve been using him as my mechanic for ten years, and I’ve never met a better guy. He’s great.
