Regarding Westside 66 auto repair in Lawrence, KS, I had a nightmare experience when I went there to get my window motor replaced. The mechanic started working on my car, which was parked in the parking lot, not in a bay -- and I left him alone as he did this, with my walking around off the property. I heard a nonstop beeping from my car and noticed that the mechanic had left and he left my key in the ignition with it turned so that the dash lights were on and he left for a long time, like 20 minutes. He was gone so long, I thought he went to lunch. So, I took the key out of the igniture (so the battery wouldn't run down) and I reported this to the owner, Rich, who didn't believe me, became angry at me and accused me of bothering the mechanic while he was working on my car, although I did not. Rich then ordered me to wait off the property on the sidewalk until my car was finished which was disrespectful and not how he treats other customers. I didn't but I stood about 300 feet from the car and stood silently waiting for them to finish my car, but owner Rich wouldn't let his mechanic finish my car because I wasn't on the sidewalk and he told his mechanic not to work on my car but go on to the next car. I had no choice but to call the police. When the police came, they spoke with Rich first who lied to them and told them I was bothering the mechanic when he was working on my car, although I was not, and I had to tell the police the truth. I went to McDonald's and was walking off the property when the mechanic was working on my car and I only returned to my car when I heard nonstop beeping from my car, and the mechanic was gone, leaving the ignition key in with dash lights on. Rich told the police he wanted me to be be no trespassed from the property, not because I did anything wrong but I know because I called the police and so I was. But the one cop did sympathize with me and told me I should make a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.
