Today I received a bill from our Dental Insurance with a name Paid to: Heartland Medical Clinic INC.
    dated September 5 & 6, 2024.

I called my son’s school and asked if a medical emergency happened at school, as to why I’m receiving a Dental Bill in the mail?

I was informed that on those dates they did Dental SCREENINGS in school for certain aged kids. Apparently in the state of Kansas it is for children Kindergarten and up.
My son (******* *****) is in Pre-K. But obviously still received service anyways. Apparently he received more than just a screening : cleaning, flouride, and assessment; all done IN SCHOOL WITHOUT CONSENT OR ANY FORM OF NOTICE.
Our insurance notified us today that what they had done was illegal and NO Consent was given, and no form of contact was given prior to this date. Our insurance company contacted Heartland Medical Clinic, as well as my sons school and verified that no consent was given, and nothing was authorized, as well as nothing should have been done including a screening as he already receives dental help, as well as not meeting the state of Kansas age/ class age requirements for this screening.

I have never heard of this business prior to this date, and again have never been here or received any consent, paperwork, or any kind of forms and they went ahead and did things to our son without our consent or anything needed to do so.
