On 1/25/2024 A & M Towing was called by ******** roadside assistance to request a tow of my **** KIA Sedona. First off, A & M towing charged me an additional $35 on top of the $150 that is paid to them for a tow that was less than 6 miles to where it needed to be dropped of in the same city. Then once they dropped off my 2015 KIA Sedona to ******** *** service center, they ripped the exhaust on my 2015 KIA Sedona when unhooking the vehicle. This was confirmed by **** at ******** ***, who then notified me that this happened. A & M Towing has been contacted numerous times by myself, and by **** from ******** ***, daily from 1/26/24-2/2/24 regarding the repair of the exhaust. Most of the time, they do not answer the phone, so voice mails are left for them to return calls. ON the rare occasion that someone does answer the phone A & M towing claims that they have not received an estimate from ******** *** as to the cost of the repair for the exhaust. **** said he has sent an estimate to them a few times. Here it is 11 days later, and A & M Towing has not sent ******** *** anything to have the exhaust repaired. I have been without a vehicle for almost 2 weeks now. It seems that A & M Towing is trying to get out of paying for a repair for damage that they caused. I am requesting that they send payment immediately to ******** ***, so that ******** *** can then repair the ripped exhaust.

    Business Response

    Date: 03/19/2024

We were contacted by **** from ******** *** on 1/25 late afternoon.  Told him we would come look at the damage.  Called him the next day (Friday) to let him know with the weather we were extremely busy and not sure if we would get there before they closed.  He advised it would be there for several weeks.  We looked at the vehicle on Monday the morning of 01/29. **** was not there,  so I advised the service advisor that was in there we were not sure if the wrecker did the damage or not but it could have so we would pay for the exhaust repair and asked to get an estimate.  He advised he would have **** get back to me.  Several days later **** said he would get an estimate together and email me.  He did not get the estimate together until the afternoon of 02/06.  I call the following morning and authorized the repair for the exhaust.  At that point he advised me it would be a while because the owner of the vehicle could not afford the repairs for the problem it was originally brought in for and he would call me when it was completed to get the payment on the exhaust.  **** called me on 02/16 and advised the repairs were made on the exhaust and the bill was paid at that time. I will not pay for the vehicle being out of service because we respond in a timely manner every time I spoke with the dealership.  I spoke with the dealership and the owner of the vehicle had not authorized the repairs for the original problem so the vehicle so the vehicle was still out of service after the exhaust repairs were made.
