  I started school here in august of 2021 I paid them over 9,000$
  While I was there I didn’t have a teacher for 3 months, during class we would spend most days on our phones left by teachers with no work or anything for us to do. In September of 2022 I was told by one of the administrators ****** that the state needed a new ID of mine cause it was expired. She told me my hours at school wouldn’t be counted until I got a new ID but that everything would just be paused until I could come back and to call and tell them when I got it . Once I got my new ID In December I called the school and told them I had my ID and could come back. They then proceeded to tell me they withdrew me from the program and that I apparently only had two weeks. And that if I wanted to come back I would have to pay over 6,000$. I’ve had a big issue with this depending that I paid them 9,000$ and half the time I was there my class and I were left with no teacher. No instruction. No work to do. And then they failed to ever mention I ONLY had two weeks.

  Thank you for bringing the complaint reference #******** to our attention.
  In response to alleged claims, the student did enroll at Entourage Institute of Beauty and Esthetics in August of 2021. At the time of enrollment, the student received an enrollment contract detailing policies and procedures, tuition statement, refund policy, attendance policy, among other documents and, the student signed such documents accepting acknowledgement and understanding.
  The student requested a Leave of Absence (LOA) from July 13 – August 7, 2022. The student later requested an LOA until September 9, 2022. The Institution complied with student request(s) per policies and procedures.  
  Per the Kansas Board of Cosmetology requirements, a student must possess a current Kansas State photo ID/Driver’s License and Social Security card. The student signed acknowledging this requirement at time of enrollment. The student presented a temporary State Driver’s License at the time of enrollment with an expiration date of 8/2/2022. The student was notified that a current State ID would be required for continuing enrollment following her LOA to obtain a new Apprentice License with the Kansas Board of Cosmetology.
  Communications with the student continued from September 21st – October 26th 2022 regarding the need to obtain a current ID.  The student communicates multiple times with school staff that she will provide this document. The student finally informs the school that she has lost her driver’s license and can not comply with Kansas Board of Cosmetology requirement. The student was informed at that time through written and verbal communication that she would have to be withdrawn due to policies and procedures and continuing length of non-attendance. The student continued to not provide a current Driver’s License or ID through November correspondence and was required to be withdrawn as of December 9th, 2022.
  The student did contact the school to return and the institution’s re-entry policy was discussed as well as other re-enrollment requirements. The student was apparently not satisfied with what was communicated.
  Regarding accusations that the student did not have an instructor, the Institution always has an Instructor on site to teach courses. Entourage Institute of Beauty and Esthetics takes pride in providing quality education in a caring and supportive environment in compliance with approval agencies.
  All related documents are retained in the student file and have not been provided upon this complaint due to FERPA regulations. We would welcome the opportunity to continue discussions with the student to resolve this issue. This would require a mutual respect for student acknowledgment of responsibility and signed acknowledgement of policies and procedures that must be adhered to by us and regulatory agencies. We also welcome the opportunity to visit with your staff directly for further discussion and resolution in addition to the opportunity to view said documents first hand.
