Purchased a washer/dryer combo which was not installed properly. This caused flooding in the first floor and basement. 3/16/25 Power Dry began the restoration work which was not completed. Contacted Goodville to file a claim but due to questions regarding bill Goodville has not paid the claim. 5/9/25 a bill for 31000 was received with an intent to place a lien against the property

I want to begin by saying, I attempted to work this out with the company. The company refused to uphold their part of the deal showing no remorse, so I am here. On March 9th, 2024, a plumber contacted Power Dry on our behalf because a leak was found and there was water all over our basement floor, ceiling and wall. We entrusted Power Dry to come out and assist our family during this hard time. They had us sign a bid for $4695 and proceeded to pull up our flooring and and baseboards and more within the basement. They also left machines and things to dry the areas. Later, they billed us $6995 and tried to tell us we never signed a Bid. Which made no sense because, who would ever allow work to be done on there home without knowing the price? This was just one of the issues we faced with this company.

We had moved multiple items out of their way to ensure they had access where needed. Power Dry employees entered a room of our basement that was not affected and took inappropriate pictures of personal items that had no relation to the water damage. These were close up, inappropriate photos that made no sense. We felt so violated and angered that someone would enter our home and do this to us in a time of need. They also "accidentally" sent these picture to our insurance company which was violating and embarrassing. Upon alerting them, they initially offered us a gift card which I turned down at first. After speaking with the General Manger Daniel, he agreed to have an estimate done for us to speed up the restoration of our basement in addition to sending the gift card. The guy that was supposed to do the estimate was rude and never completed the estimate for us. When inquiring, my husband and I were met with rudeness which just made us even angrier because we were back at square one.
We are so very hurt and appalled that a company can violate someone this way and get away with it. They are now lying to us about these happenings and I will not have it.

Upon being made aware of the photos of *** ********* marijuana plants, our General Manager spoke to her, apologized, and offered her
$200.00 to settle her concerns, which she accepted, and a check was issued
immediately.  Growing marijuana is legal in Missouri and had absolutely no
affect on her claim or the service we provided.

There was NO BID given or signed.  We have repeatedly
asked *** ******* to provide us with this supposed “bid” for services which she
cannot produce, because it does not exist.  Customers who file insurance
claims are only responsible for their deductible, so we do not provide a
bid.  *** ******* was not present during our inspection, or when her
husband signed our Work Authorization and hired us.  Our itemized invoice
has been submitted to her carrier for payment.

*** ******* requested an estimate for reconstruction, and we advised her that our earliest available
appointment was 7-10 days out and she was not happy, so we advised her to get estimates from other contractors.  We have the right to refuse
service and we are not interested in providing *** ******* with any further
    services.

Power Dry has been in business 36 years.  We have a 4.9
star rating on Google and an A+ rating on BBB.

Continued defamation of our company on multiple platforms will not be tolerated.  We have engaged our corporate attorney and they are sending a Cease and Desist order to this customer.

I am rejecting this response because:

This company has gotten on multiple platforms and told multiple lies on myself and my family. These are all lies that I am able to prove and I would like the chance to supply video, recordings, screenshots  and more in response to each of the lies that have been told on myself and my family. Furthermore, once these lies are proven I am demanding this company be held accountable and that I receive documentation showing they are at fault for my records.
This company showed themselves to be unprofessional on many occasions and interactions, but the one thing I will not stand for is the lies that have been told and are STILL being told even in there responses seen here!

I have much more to include, but what I was able to attach is a video proving **** did come and take measurements for the reconstruct on  March 10th. He can be heard at doorbell camera telling us it will only take a couple days (3-4) so not sure why this company is saying they told us they only have an appointment 7-10 days out? They never said anything like this and the measurements were take. Additionally I have screenshotted text showing that Jake never responded to us. My husband also has messages from **** in his phone I can provide.

Additionally, this company said that I was not present for the inspection. I have video evidence and have included a picture of my car in the driveway with power dry present. I can provide more video and pictures upon request.

This is just information for a couple of the lies told on us. I have more to share.

I can assure you, this company is not sorry for how we were treated. They have lied on us in attempt to save face instead of making things right! I believe they see us as a black family they can just lie on and run all over. They imply many times that my goal is to be untruthful with the insurance company as if I am lying, but we have pics of our property and damage so I am confused as to why they are trying to make it seem like we are attempting to get over. The treatment we have received is actually disgusting! And yes, I do believe it to be race based at this point being that I can prove their lies and they continue to lie unbothered.

PS: system is saying my files are too large to upload. I am happy to send them to an email provided!

    Sincerely,
