This complaint is regarding a price increase that was far more than they had stated to me. Back before November 2024 I had spoke to ****** ******* office in clay center (my agent), where I was informed my homeowners increase would be increasing by 1,000 dollars per year. As well as my auto insurance would be increasing as well. They blamed it on a company wide increase. (I had not had any claims or tickets to cause this increase) fast forward to 11/12/24 where there charged my escrow $5340, a $2,241 dollar increase from the previous year. Over double what they claimed my increase would be. After learning of this, I got 4 different quotes from 4 different insurance companies and they were all under 3,000 a year. Farm bureau is price gouging people, and not staying true to what they tell their customers. When it comes to auto insurance, they will tell you that you will receive a discount if you enroll into their Driveology program. However. Shortly after signing up they raise your rates and then bring them down close to where they started before you enrolled!(after a period of driving and collecting data) That is fraud as far as I'm concerned. In addition to all of this they were constantly trying to raise my rates year after year even though I didn't have any accidents or tickets.
