I am writing to file a formal complaint against Manhattan Limousine regarding their refusal to honor a gift certificate for a 1-hour limo service that I purchased. The certificate does not contain an expiration date. My goal in filing this complaint is to seek your assistance in resolving this matter and ensuring a fair and just resolution. Details of the Complaint: I purchased a gift certificate from ***** ***** ************** for Manhattan Limousine for a 1-hour limousine service valued at $100. The purpose of this purchase was to gift a special experience to a friend. However, when my friend attempted to redeem the gift certificate, they were informed by Manhattan Limousine that the certificate would not be honored. The refusal to honor the gift certificate has not only caused inconvenience but has also led to disappointment and frustration for both myself and the intended recipient. Despite presenting the gift certificate, which clearly outlines the terms and conditions, Manhattan Limousine has failed to uphold their commitment to providing the services as specified. I have attached a copy of the gift certificate for your reference, which includes information such as the purchase date, the amount paid, and the services covered. There are no stipulations or restrictions on the certificate that would justify Manhattan Limousine's refusal to provide the agreed-upon service. Requested Resolution: I kindly request the Better Business Bureau's assistance in facilitating a resolution to this matter. My preferred outcome is a full refund of the $100 value of the gift certificate, as Manhattan Limousine has failed to fulfill their contractual obligation to provide the specified limousine service. I believe that a refund is a fair and just resolution to this situation, and it would demonstrate Manhattan Limousine's commitment to customer satisfaction and adherence to their stated terms and conditions.
