    A wisdom tooth extraction surgery was performed in November, 2024. At that time, the patient had a primary and secondary insurance.

    4 months later, I was told by E-Care Dentistry, that the primary insurance provider had denied the claim and it had to be sent to the other insurance provider.

    Once that information was given to E-Care, I expected the issue to be resolved. However, each month for the next 4 months I have received a statement showing a payment due for $801. Each time I call the office, they report to me that it just takes time for insurance to process and there wasn’t any issues.

    8 months have now gone by, which means we’re running out of “timely filing”, which includes a time limit that insurance can be used.

    This week, I called one of the insurance companies directly, who then called E-Care. E-Care told the insurance representative that the other insurance provider had already paid the claim for the extraction, in full, and there was no claim initiated to this insurance company.

    Now, I can’t get any response from E-Care regarding the insurance payment or submission. Why hasn’t E-Care submitted anything to insurance after 8 months and why am I still receiving a bill if the claim had been paid, potentially months ago.
