    Tuesday, April 4th - I called ***** Church requesting a quote for a 6 foot horizontal cedar fence. He provided a bid of $8,100 over the phone. Later that afternoon he came to my house to verify the scope of the fence installation. He requested 50% down to procure materials, so I wrote him a check for $4,050 which was cashed that same evening. Our agreement was that he would begin installation on 4/11.

    Tuesday, April 11th - ***** did not show up the morning of 4/11, so I texted him to let him know I would not be at my house again until later in the afternoon. He called me and stated he wouldn't be able to begin today due to the rain we received the prior day. This seemed logical to me and he said he would start installation the following day.

    Wednesday, April 12th - I texted ***** in the morning letting him know I would be playing golf, but everything was ready for him to go and he could begin installation. Upon returning home later in the afternoon, it was obvious that ***** once again did not show up. I texted him asking what happened and he proceeded to call me. He told me that he was facing "social media backlash" for another job he had committed to the previous week, but never started, so he had to finish that job. At this point, I was pretty certain his excuses were false and he had no intention of ever building a fence. He asked if he could drop off materials the evening of 4/12 so he could start on 4/13 and I once again said yes, that would be fine. Of course he did not drop off any materials on 4/12.

    Thursday, April 13th - Once again, ***** was a no show and I texted him with no response.

    Friday, April 14th - I texted ***** and told him that if I didn't hear back by EOD, I would pursue legal action and file criminal charges.

    ***** has not returned a call, text or FB message since 4/12.

    Contracted with ***** Church on April 3, 2023 to remove my privacy fence and install a new one for the sum of $8500. He asked for half of the job cost up front for materials, which I gave him in the form of my personal check in the amount of $4250. He promised to show up with a crew bright and early on April 5 to begin work. He did not. The morning of April 6 came and went. He finally showed up at 2 P.M. and worked for 6 hours until dark. Promised to return the following morning, April 7, to get all of the posts set. No show. Contract has a promised finish date of no later than April 9. He has not been seen by me since April 6 at 8 PM. I am willing to pay him for his and his crew's labor time, plus the cost of the 30 fence poles he left in my yard. The bags of concrete mix are no good now, since he left them uncovered lying on the ground in the rain. I am asking for a refund of $3300.

    April 3. I hired ***** church to replace my privacy fence. He took my deposit 2700 for materials. He also took my neighbors money. He has an excuse every day as to why he can't come work on the fence or even bring the materials. I've asked for a refund after finding out he has swindled many others and even been in prison for theft.

    Hired Church Fencing to install a second level deck 10' x 15' and a backyard fence with 2 gates. Received a quote for a total of $18460. Gave *** ***** Church 1/2 depot as required for a total of $9230.00 on 3/15/23. He never returned, but his crew came by after multiple requests of saying they were going to come, but never did. They finally came in two separate visits to tear down the deck railing and install the tar cover the deck. After repeated/multiple calls/texts ***** does not answer his phone nor does he return our phone calls. I was told by one of his workers that he was having a hard time getting paid for the work he did form him at our home. They still as of 4/1/23 have not installed the railing or the flooring to the deck. I would assume what little work they did would be equivalent to around $1200-$1500. Leaving a balance of say around $7730.00. Can you please help us.
