  I am filing a formal complaint against Preferred Contracting Systems, LLC, for providing an incomplete and inaccurate estimate following water damage at my property located at ***** ******* ***, KCMO. The estimate submitted by the company fails to account for essential repairs and omits critical damage, resulting in an insufficient and incomplete scope of work.
  
  Key Issues with the Estimate:
  Insulation Replacement: The estimate fails to include the necessary replacement of insulation in the walls. Water damage requires this to prevent mold growth and ensure proper insulation. The omission of this work compromises the restoration.
  
  Stairway Reconstruction: The estimate neglects to include repairs to the stairway, which suffered significant damage. This critical work, including drywall, flooring, and structural repairs, has been completely omitted from the scope of work.
  
  Doorway Reconstruction: A doorway that was damaged by the water was not included in the estimate for reconstruction. This is another major omission that leaves the home incomplete and unsafe.
  
  Flooring and Carpet Repairs: The estimate underestimates the damage to the carpet and flooring in several rooms. It only includes minimal coverage for carpet removal and replacement, while the full extent of the damage requires total replacement.
  
  Unfair Estimate Influenced by Insurance Company: The estimate appears to be heavily influenced by the insurance company, favoring a low cost of repair rather than accurately reflecting the true scope of necessary work.
  
  Preferred Contracting Systems has failed to provide an accurate, comprehensive estimate for the repairs needed at my property. Essential repairs, such as insulation replacement, stairway reconstruction, and doorway repairs, were omitted, leading to concerns about the fairness and thoroughness of the assessment.
  
  I request that the BBB intervene to ensure that Preferred Contracting Systems revises their estimate to include all necessary repairs

  We always recommend getting additional estimates on insurance losses. We wrote the estimate based upon what we could see from the loss. We highly recommend getting additional estimates.
