My landlord ******* **** at Spring Oak/Kingsridge West Inc, ###-###-####, hired them to replace the bathroom floor in the duplex I rent. Evergreen flooring sent a migrant worker who speaks no English to fix the floor. Said worker tore up the tile after sitting in my bathroom for 45 minutes playing on his phone. The underlayment was black from mold and water damage. The worker just stuck new plywood over top of the rotten wood. I asked the worker why he wasn't taking the rotten wood up and all I got was "I speak no English". I called my landlord, she said they were supposed to be replacing the rotten flooring, that she would call the office and see what is going on. While waiting the worker was on the phone yelling to someone on the other line in Spanish while I am in a meeting for work. My boss could hear him on the zoom. I had to mute myself and couldn't participate during the meeting. Then he plays around on his phone for another 30 minutes, gets another phone call, then packs up and leaves. Leaving his mess and not saying anything. Over 2 hours later he comes back to finish the job, making as much noise as possible knowing I'm working. He was mad he was made to rip out the rotten floor. I then get a phone call from his boss saying I made him feel uncomfortable. His boss calls my landlord and my landlord calls me telling me the owner is going to make me move because this guy felt uncomfortable. So because I spoke up about this guy halfass doing his job, I am now being asked to move and the landlord was okay with the worker not replacing the whole rotten floor, as he only replaced what was around the toilet. Watch when these workers come in because if they could have gotten away with not replacing that floor they would have. This guy has my 10 year old autistic son so scared from his yelling, but we have to let him finish because the landlord told us we had to. And now we are going to be out on the streets because of this guy. So much for speaking up about an issue

The property owner hired us to install flooring in the bathroom of this unit. The unit was occupied so we scheduled accordingly with the tenant in place at this address. The installer initially planned to remove the existing tile and then install the new flooring. However, after removing the tile, he discovered the floor underneath was rotting. He promptly stopped the installation and informed our office so that we could seek approval for a subfloor replacement in the affected areas. The installer had to wait for the owner's approval before proceeding, as we could not exceed the original estimate. Once we provided the owner with an adjusted price and showed her the extent of the damage, she approved the additional work due to the presence of mold on the floor. The installer then had to leave to purchase extra materials for the subfloor replacement. Since the installer had already informed the tenant that he did not speak English, he let the office know he was leaving. Our office contacted the tenant to explain that the extra work was approved and our installer was headed out to get additional materials. However, the tenant responded angrily, upset that the installer could not communicate in English. The tenant was yelling at the office staff and using profane language. She was very rude and mean. She was speaking negatively about the time it was taking to complete the flooring and was upset that the job was noisy. We would have tried to explain better how noisy a tile removal can be, but the tenant would hardly let my office staff speak. She was screaming at my employees and using profanity. This job was completed in one day as expected and the owner of the property was satisfied with our work.

******* ****, the property owner, hired Evergreen Flooring to replace the flooring in one bathroom at her property. We sent our contractor to do the work with the instruction to always knock or ring the doorbell. The contractor contacted the office to get approval for additional work. The office informed him to wait until the owner approved. Once we received approval from the owner, we notified the contractor to proceed with getting the materials needed for the additional work. At this point, the office called the tenant at the property to inform her of the situation as a courtesy. We are aware that the contractor doesn't speak English, so we make it a point to provide updates to the tenant if needed. When the office called the tenant, she threatened to contact the Better Business Bureau (BBB). She was upset because the contractor had been waiting and appeared not to be working. However, the contractor was waiting for approval for the additional work. After the work was completed, ******* **** inspected the completed work and expressed her satisfaction by sending us photos and an email stating, "The bathroom floor looks great. Thanks."

    Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:
I understand you may have given instruction to the worker, but he did not follow it. As I have video of the worker just walking through my garage and into my home. He did not knock nor ring the doorbell. Therefore he violated my personal space and creeped out my child. This is very unprofessional. As for the rest of my complaint, I have already backed up with photo and video proof. So please stop lying about the events that took place. All you had to do was admit you all royally screwed up and yet even with proof you still want to lie. This shows what a horrible business you are and I'm sure you have screwed over several more trusting customers.

    Sincerely,
