    I wish I could leave less than a one star review, there equipment is poor and doesn’t work and they refuse to give refunds, the owner threatened me to take down my face book post and was very unprofessional. I hope this makes it the right people. This business shouldn’t be allowed to keep operating like this

    Like the other reviewers, there was dishonesty, broken/poorly functioning equipment & unprofessionalism. We rented a riding mower & tilt trailer. The first tilt trailer hooked up had a broken hydraulic system & patches of rotted wood. Hooked the second trailer up & the employee, who stated he'd never driven a zero-turn, drove it around the lot, spun in circles, and turned the blade off and on to "learn" before loading it. Two miles down the road the mower was coming off the trailer. I stopped at a local cafe to redo the employee's chain & saw that the mower had a low tire, so I went across the street and added air.

    Got to the location & the mower only did half the job before sputtering and dying, blade was dull, and the tire was also very low. I took the equipment back to the store & let them know what had happened. Noted to the clerk that the time had not been changed on the agreement to reflect the 34 minutes it took to get off the lot. We are a non-profit and had left an open check at rental. The clerk stated he would let the Mgr know about our experience & leave the check open until Monday when the Mgr and I could speak and come to a resolution.

    After discussion, the Mgr said he would tear the check up. Seven days later it was deposited in the bank w/out notifying us. I called the Mgr and he stated that we were late in returning (incorrect) and had a mower last year sputter/die and received a refund (correct). I reminded him we rented many times and not had an issue so there is not a history of "scamming" him. He relayed he had spoken to Gerken's owner and was told not to refund us & to ban us from renting again. I called said owner and had a rude, dishonest & unprofessional conversation. He told me, "just this weekend we had 15 calls about equipment misfunctions". Yet kept coming back to us having two rental problems within 12 months. He was dishonest about "new" equipment at this store and training (according to his staff). Never acknowledged any fault.

    One sales person tells you one thing and the other says something totally different. I was told I was lying and had not called ahead of time. (I re-called the number from my phone, so I'm sure I called the same number.) I tried to explain the issue and they did not care and said, you were served so what's the problem. I explained that there was a problem with service and communication with reservations and that I had been a customer for years and was concerned. They said my credit info could be compromised if my file was over a year old. The first person I talked to said there was no problem and they had my credit info on file and said I did not need anything else for the rental or they would call me. He looked up my file with my phone number, so he could of called me back, if he wanted to. If my information was not current than why did they rent me the expensive tool? I said if you will not work with me I will report you to the BBB and they said "do it" and hung up.
