I bought my new home December 2022.

When I connected the washer a small flood happened into a bedroom. No worries, found the leak and tightened the pipe. Fluke right?

During our first winter, I had issues with my heater. I called Skyline and Nortex per warranty instructions. After several phone calls and finding my own HVAC guy, Nortex agreed to only pay half of the bill. One of the community maintenance men did loan me a space heater until it was finished so my pipes wouldn’t freeze.

Spring 2023, the tub plumbing disconnected and flooded the insulation under the house. Skyline home warranty did fix this issue, 100%.

Spring 2024 my the vent hood above the stove goes out. I’ve also had a two lights go out during this time. You can’t simply change the bulb or replace anything. I’m not an electrician so I can’t tell you how to fix it, but it’s above my technical skill set.
My AC unit also stopped working. Called the front desk for advise and the responded call insurance.

For each issue they have you call ******** insurance for all issues years 2-7. Every issue is a separate claim. They told me to call any licensed HVAC or electrician and send them the diagnostic. I called nearly every HVAC provider in Wichita including the one who supposedly installed the unit. They all refuse to work with ********, many calling them a “scam.” It was literally the only company offered and sold by bayshore homes.
The one I did find, who is a little sketchy and not my first choice, quoted for a whole new unit (it’s not even 3 years old.). I’ve submitted the diagnostic from the sketchy HVAC guy twice. We’re going on two months of no AC in Kansas and no solution on sight. I’ve bought a portable unit for $230 so we can at least enjoy one room in our house.
The community is also becoming run down. Concrete rebar protrudes from every road running at least two sets of tires. But they’ll leave you a reminder note for AN weed in the driveway.
