This retailer sells a part that doesn't fit the product that it is marketed to fit. When a customer requests a return, they are denied and their email address is blocked. After this happened to me, I found another customer who bought the same product and it didn't fit. The part is a bracket (**********) and it is supposed to strengthen an air conditioning unit which has a compressor that tends to snap refrigerant lines. The small bracket is only sold by this retailer for $26.99 and the retailer charges $20 for shipping, even though it costs anyone less than $5 to ship. The retailer then denies any kind of a return by referring the customer to their return policy and then they block the customer's email address.

Customer purchased wrong part at his own peril. Customer ordered a part for a series of RV air conditioner called a "Mach 10". These Mach 10 air conditioners start with model "*****". Once customer received the ordered part they realized it wouldn't work for their unit. After further conversation with the customer (see attached), it came to be realized that the customer didn't have a "Mach 10" (*****) series unit. They had a ***** series unit.

Even though our return policy clearly states we do not accept opened returns, I told the customer we would go ahead and accept the return under our normal return policy. This return policy is clearly stated on our website here: **************************************************** . This policy also has to be agreed upon during checkout in order for the customer to proceed with the order.  Based on this, we would accept the return and refund the customer the price of the product minus the 25% return fee.  This was not acceptable for the customer and the customer continued to try to get us to stray from this policy.

The customer continued to email every few days to try to return the item outside of the terms of our policy. We finally had to tell the customer that we have already made them aware of our policy and we would no longer respond to the repeated inquires about changing the policy. That's when the customer made threats such as filing a complaint with the BBB.

All conversations backing up this statement are attached.

Customer is going to continue to make false claims just like what can be seen from his original claims and the conversation I have prevously attached. The customer didn't even a credible source to back up these claims. I previously worked for the manufacturer for 14 years and have sold these products for over 14 years and can assure you, the product sold is for a Mach 10 unit (***** series), even though the customer admittedly doesn't even have that series of unit as he previously stated he has a ***** series unit in our previously attached emails. You can confirm what I'm saying about this part's compatibility by asking the manufacturer directly here:

      *********************************

Also, I have a screenshot of the manufacturer created documentation on the product page on my website here:

      **************************************************************************************

This clearly shows the parts, and where to install in them in the Mach 10 unit (the only unit with a sideways mounted compressor, which can be seen on the drawing from the product page) .

I find it very unproductive to keep responding to these outlandish and proven false claims that the customer will continue to do, as demonstrated.

      Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because: The location that this bracket is intended to be installed is the lowest compressor foot nearest the base pan. This wouldn't stabilize the compressor in any way and does not prevent it from snapping the refrigerant lines from how heavily it vibrates. If ******* released this product with such a high rate of failure, then this bracket should be free under warranty. But they are selling it for $47 through only one distributor who has worked for them for 14 years, researching and developing ways to make their products fail so that RV owners have to shell out cash for more ******* parts, only to have them fail again without any support. This guy has made a career off of scamming RV owners.

      Sincerely,

      **** *****
