    *** ******* ***** is a theater company based in New York City. In October 2024 we engaged TallGrass Freight company to bring a theatrical set from LA to New York. On the scheduled delivery date Oct 30, 2024, the truck arrived 7 hours late.
    Most, if not all of the cargo that was shipped from Los Angeles was damaged, and it almost seems like it was deliberate. Much of the packing materials were ripped off of the items, all of the ratchet straps tying the road cases together were undone and thrown on the floor, heavy cases were stacked on top of cases that are clearly marked "FRAGILE, DO NOT STACK" , and the very carefully strapped and packed equipment was thrown onto the floor with heavy objects stacked on top.
    The cargo had been unloaded without authorization, and thrown into piles in the new truck without any straps (save for two criss-crossed ones at the tail end). The agreement with Tallgrass was that a dedicated truck would be going the entire distance (see Straight Bill of Landing). We also had no communication from the driver or carrier despite multiple attempts to reach them.
    We immediately reached out to our contact at TallGrass and they promised to resolve this issue and reimburse us for the damage. We filed a full damage report on November 18, 2024 - which Tallgrass claimed they filed with their insurance . It took several phone calls and emails for us to get an insurance inspector to finally come on March 4, 2025. After that visit the next thing we learned was that their insurance is not paying and neither are Tallgrass. We are a small theater company left with a completely damaged show and the company that claimed the you would "safely transport the cargo" is not paying for damage after agreeing that their team was at fault

    We received the notice of complaint on 5/8 and we are looking into this matter immediately.  Can we please be provided with the BOL # associated with this order?  Our shipping history for the Wooster Group does not show we moved anything for Wooster in 2024.  Providing a BOL # will provide all the info we need.
