University of Kansas St Francis, Lab Billing is a joke, they do not bill my insurance carrier as a preferred lab, therefore it is not being paid at 100% from my insurance and they keep sending me a bill for the last three years, It takes months to get anything done in 2022 they issued a refund to a credit card I do not have any longer in December, in 2023 they actually sent me to collections, even though there are several notes on my file and my chart billing for this, and now again I'm getting same issue in 2024. I would NOT recommend them to anybody at this time, I'm fed up and nobody returns your calls like they tell you. I have been on the phone with billing and my insurance and they tell them how to correct it and these idiots just push it aside they do not send in the corrected forms to insurance. I have been with the system for 30 years no wonder doctors and staff are leaving all the time. Looking for a new provider at this point.

I am sorry you have had a bad experience with St. Francis. The refund you received to an expired credit card was done automatically by the system. It is programmed to refund to the card the payment was issued on. Our understanding is that preferred labs are labs your insurance prefers you to go to, so they will pay at 100%. Is our lab on your insurance plan list as a preferred lab? If it is not then your insurance will process and apply to deductible/coinsurance.
