My mother recently passed away and I was to receive $2500 in a life insurance payout from Everly Life Insurance Company (formerly Settler's Life Insurance). Instead, they now say I am the owner of the policy and do not get the $2500. My beneficiary will get the money when I pass. This is crazy when my mother and I both discussed this policy before she died and she said I was to get the money.Business Response

This company takes money from my mothers bank account every month for insurance. She died almost a month ago. I have been calling and emailing for 3 weeks. As others here in BBB have complained, their phone ALWAYS has the same message that you are calling after business hours. The message never changes no matter what time you call. The email address they have also comes back as undeliverable. This is my last effort at contacting them before hiring an attorney.Business Response

I borrowed against my life insurance policy. I paid the full amount back on April 29, 2024 with it actually being withdrawn from my bank account on May 1, 2024. To my surprise, Everly is saying the balance has not been paid back in full and when I call and give the information to when it was taken out of my account, a representative keep telling me "they" are looking into it and will call be back in 24-48 hours. I am rejecting this response because: I was the one who continued to reach out to Everly to resolve this issue. However, now Everly is saying I owe for interest added to the account when the account was paid in full by the annual renewal date. There is a balance, when there shouldn't be since I paid the entire amount their representative said I owed. My next step if I do not hear from them by the end of the week, is to contact their CEO and leave another review of their company.

My compliant is about the contact information on the Web site. They state they open at 7.30am and call ************. However, when you call that number! it states the office is not open. Call back at normal business hours. Call all during the day and, cannot get any information. Everly Life website information is not correct they need to provide correct info to contact them by phone. We applied for a loan on our cash value on November 30th and the company said they issued the check December 8th, but they wrote down one wrong digit in our address and now they have canceled that check and promised at least five times to deposit the proceeds in the same account they have withdrawn premiums from since 2006. Today they say they mailed the check today and to cancel it and deposit it as they promised will take until January 16thBusiness Response

Advertisers for this business have littered my home and the surrounding area with these fake $100 bill cardboard adverts. All cards are placed in lawns and on the side walk with the $100 side facing up deceiving people into believing it is legitimate money when it is in fact an advertisement. It is both littering and deceptive.
Immediately stop using this method of advertisement delivery as it is illegal litering.Business Response
