March 31st, 2025, PK mechanical came out and did a sewer scope for a realtor (who is his friend) on my home because we are trying to sell it. They never notified us they were on our property to do any work and they said they did the work and then sent a false report. On Tuesday April 1st, 2025, we got a text from the realtor saying we needed $10,000 dollars worth of work done to our sewer lines because there was so much damage. As soon as I read the report, I called the realtor asking if she had the paper work on this and asking for a second opinion and she lied to her clients saying we did not want to fix anything and because of PK mechanicals false report, we lost the sale of our home. The realtor finally sent us the video of our sewer lines and I had 2 licensed plumbers come out and they could see from the report and video that they provided, that it was not our house. I called the city of wamego and got the permit that was pulled to replaced our sewer lines 4 years ago prior to PK mechanicals sewer scope. I knew they would be fine as they were just replaced with PVC. ****** out of Manhattan Kansas came out and did a sewer scope and of course we passed. PK mechanical and ***** ******** from **** ***** **** ****** both lied to us and work was double paid for because of a false report that was never done. PK also admitted that his camera is not dialed in daily and his video provided to us was dated 6 weeks before the day they “came out”. Because of this false report, we are fighting for the $250 the client paid, the $275 we paid and the $6000 we lost from the sale because of his false report. We had a contract at 141,000 for our house with the client but because he backed out from the report, our house is selling for $6000 less than we were originally going to make prior to PK mechanicals report.

Hi! I am responding to the above complaint. It appears according to our truck tracking devices that our tech arrived on March 31st to complete the sewer camera at 2:18pm and left the grounds at 2:46pm. When PK completes work for a realtor, usually they (the realtor) correspond with the residing residents, and then (the realtor) communicates a time with us that we are to arrive to complete the sewer camera. No falsifying of work completed was done. As the home resident showed on the attachment, a bill for work completed was done on March 31st for $250.00. According to our video, and the written statement by our tech, both bellies and a lip on the pipe were seen. "Friends with" and acquaintances are two different things when discussing professional work to be done. We work in close professional manners with many realtors around the area, not just the one being spoken of. Our $250.00 for work that was done, has still not been paid, and no further work has been completed at the *** *** ********

Please find attached the sewer camera video for proof of work provided with evidence of the sewer camera in regards to the complaint filed by the Sweet's.  Please share this with the complaint on behalf of PK Mechanical. It will be seen in the video of the home and cars in the drive.

Bash. Never have I bashed you. I just said it would have been nice to be an adult and recieve a phone call with your concerns or questions, instead of going this route. But if you find that bashing, that is on you. We have the sewer video that was given to you, our report that matches the report you have from ******, and the professional opinion of two plumbers who do this job for a living. It seems as though your home has sold, so what is the issue now? You are wanting compenstated for? Our report wasn't the only reason why the old buyers backed out, but you can "push and bash" us for that if need be. There is nothing that we need to reconcile or explain. There is video proof of standing water (which means the sewer has settled and needs repaired) as well as a lip (which could be a separation) of the pipe close to the main. Eventually, the sewer will need replaced, and whoever has purchased your home now, will contact a plumber to recive the services to the ger the sewer replaced. When that occurs, we will have to disclose to them, that we had proof that this was an issue but the previous owners chose not to replace it (which this situation has happened before).  I feel like at this point, you are beating a dead horse. I am not sure what all you want from us, but we are not refunding you 6600.00 on the "amount less you sold your house for." We as professionals saw an issue that needed addressed and we used our better judgment to inform the realtor and you guys of what would be the right thing to do.  As always, thank you for your time :) ***

    Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because: I called **** the day we got the report. He made us feel like we were idiots because the video we received had a date of 2-14-25 and not the accurate date of 3-31-25. He said his camera is not dialed in and that it was the correct video. We called, he made us feel like we were idiots because the video was ours and we didn’t need to question it. It took 3 weeks and a complaint to get the correct video of 3-31-25. I don’t need compensated, I just want you to own up to the fact yall sent the wrong video for 3 weeks and made a mistake. You send these responses like you are in no wrong and you are so “professional”. I have proof from another company that shows we didn’t have any issues with our sewer lines and that he had no trouble getting an accurate scope done.

I’m not “beating a dead horse” I’m holding you accountable for messing up and owning that you sent a video that was 6 weeks old, not our house and then 3 weeks later after I sent a complain poof you have my sewer scope with the correct date. Mabey before you go pushing blame, look at your own records and see that you didn’t send the correct information. I have nothing against Paul or PK, we all know that the video we received and you keep defending is not our own and I want you to admit that it was not the correct video. Just own your mistakes, it’s not that hard.

    Sincerely,

    Jake Sweet
