    A client who had bed bugs came and got a facial. They saw the bed bug and caught it to examine. They did not properly clean the room or bed that the client was on. So now every client after is at risk for getting bed bugs as is the staff and students for not properly cleaning the area after.

    We appreciate *** ********** concern regarding the situation that occurred on Saturday, October 12. At Eric Fisher Academy, the safety and cleanliness of our facilities are our top priorities, and we believe that we handled the matter appropriately and in accordance with professional recommendations.

    Once the bed bug was identified during the service, our team acted immediately to mitigate any potential risk. The bed sheets used during the service were immediately disposed of in the outside dumpster. Additionally, on Monday, October 14 (the next business day), our Director contacted our professional exterminator to explain the situation and arrange for an inspection. The exterminator confirmed that the actions we took immediately following the incident were appropriate and that no additional measures were required at the time.

    While further inspection was recommended as a precaution, the exterminator assured us that an immediate shutdown of the spa or school was not necessary. Nevertheless, we are continuing to take all necessary and recommended steps to ensure that our facility remains safe and hygienic for our students, staff, and clients. We remain committed to maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and safety at Eric Fisher Academy and will continue to work with our professional exterminator to monitor the situation closely.
