    On November 14, 2024 I purchased a set of 4 x 6 speakers for the front dash of my 91 Cadillac Deville and they did not fit. The magnet on the bottom of the speaker was too big to fit into the speaker socket. I called advanced audio on November 22 and tried to explain that to them and they were rude with me about it then they wanted to offer me a different set of speakers to purchase. They said that they do not do refunds, but I was told by the owner that the set of speakers that I originally got would fit my car.

    The November 15th the customer came into the store and purchased a set of Memphis PR*** **6 speakers for his vehicle. The next time we heard from the customer was on November 21st and he called the store to speak with someone about the speakers not fitting. The technician suggested to him that a different pair of speakers may solve the issue at hand. *****n then changed directions and begin complaining that we sold him "too powerful of a speaker" and that it shorted his factory amplifier and was keeping his car from starting. The technician then tried to explain to *****n that there's no such thing as "too powerful of a speaker' and that a short occurs when you physically install the speaker and touch the wires to ground or to each other. *****n didn't like the answer the technician gave and then proceeded to get aggressive and try to belittle the technician. The technician then tried to reason with *****n, and when that failed he just ended the call with *****n. There was never any talk about refund, and he never asked for a refund. NO ONE EVER told him we don't do refunds. When I replied to his review on Google I mentioned he could of just returned the speakers. *****n's vehicle information was looked up on the computer before he purchased the speakers, and it was shown to be a 4x6 speaker.

    I took my car to my mechanic and they said the speakers that I had put in were indeed apart of the reason my distributor went out not the amplifier. I had contacted advanced auto and I had asked them if I can exchange the speakers I had bought seeing that everything had been put back in the box, the man on the phone said no I cannot but instead I can buy a new set of speakers with a magnet that isn’t as big. That specifically is what I disagreed with and I never once raised my voice or belittled the man that I spoke. He was rude and irate towards me on the phone and started yelling when I questioned why I can’t return them or exchange the speakers when I was guaranteed that they would fit according to what the older man said to me before I left the store. I then asked the man in the phone why he was getting upset when I was just trying to understand why he won’t just exchange them. This went on for about 10 minutes and he hung up in my face.
