    I read a bunch of really amazing reviews online and brought my wedding dress in to see if they could hem and put a bustle on it. They have a $50 non refundable fee for consultation. The wife, Juliana, was very sweet. I went to the desk to set up appointments and found out they were going to charge me $290.00 to hem the dress. Additionally, they set the pick up date to November 20th when my wedding was December 15th and out of state. I felt uncomfortable with that price and the timeline, but didn’t feel like I could speak up without being verbally beaten down. The husband made me feel very small and was pressuring me to pay. I was prepared to walk out $50 down due to how uncomfortable I felt and felt like I wasn’t even allowed to walk out with my dress if I didn’t. Juliana came to smooth things over and offered to just do the bustle for $75. I agreed and paid the full price ahead of time so that I would not walk out with nothing. The husband talked down to me, emphasizing no refunds. I went back the next day, bringing some of my in laws. The husband was extremely rude to me once I asked for my dress back. I tried to ask for a refund anyway because I knew they hadn’t worked on my dress. I stopped that very quickly because the husband became very intimidating. I didn’t feel safe and just wanted to get my dress and leave. I was fumbling for the ticket to get the dress back, so I pulled up a picture of the ticket on my phone. They tried to tell me that they wouldn’t give me my dress back without the physical ticket. My in laws threatened to call the police because of them threatening to withhold the dress. They did eventually bring my dress down, but the husband was staring threateningly at my mother in law and mumbling insults. She told me that she also felt unsafe. I do not believe that I am the first customer he has treated this way and desperately hope that others will listen to what happened and find somewhere else to do business.

    Came in for a new coat alteration and paid in advance $78.48 but within an hour of leaving I changed my mind and decided to return the coat for a different size because of the extensive alterations. When I returned he told me rudely “Your NOT getting your money back!” He said payments for ““All alterations are final.” and he refused to return my $78.48 This policy statement is on my ticket with an Agree checkbox, but the boxes are not checked because this was not discussed or agreed to by me. Although the coat hadn’t even moved from the hook up front since I had left, he refused to refund my $78.48 . We are also filing a complaint with the Sedgwick County District Attorneys Office for “Failure to Perform,” as no alterations were ever made to the coat in the hour it was in his possession.
