    Business Response

    Date: 02/28/2024

Ameriprise reserved a date at the B29 DOC Hangar for an event.

Due to decisions made by Ameriprise, the event was cancelled.  DPG offered to move the deposit towards a future event.  Ameriprise chose to not reschedule the event, forfeiting the deposit.

Ameriprise representatives connected their vendors with DPG to pay for the event. The vendors were on a conference call with DPG staff to share payment details and approve the non-refundable payment.  There was one, and only one, charge.  The statement that DPG charged the vendor three times is absolutely inaccurate.

The vendor has disputed the charge with their credit card company three times.
Each time, the credit card company and credit card processor sided with DPG and awarded the payment.

At one point, Ameriprise offered to pay DPG for the deposit, allowing us to then refund the vendor for the deposit.  This payment has never been attempted.

The fact that the credit card company and processing company have both awarded payment to DPG three separate times, we stand firm in the fact that processes and policies were followed in the fact that deposits are non-refundable.

Ameriprise requested a date to host an event.  The date and equipment was held for them.  DPG has a loss of revenue for the date that was held for Ameriprise.  We turned away other work because we had the date held for them.

Perhaps Amerprise, the client that asked these vendors to pay for their event and then cancelled the event should reimburse their vendors for the funds that were paid on their behalf.

    Business Response

    Date: 03/19/2024

The accusations that someone from DPG told the credit card company that the event DID happen are completely fabricated and untrue.   The facts are simple. The event date was requested, the date was taken off the market for potential other bookings, and the client cancelled the event.

There is a pattern of the client to manufacture inaccuracies to get their way.  Proof of this is the inaccurate fact they shared when they stated DPG charged their card multiple times.  Now they are manufacturing inaccurate facts stating that someone told the credit card company that the event happened.

Ameriprise is the one that should be reimbursing their vendor for the funds as this was their event and their decision to cancel.

We firmly stand behind the fact that this complaint is malicious, slanderous, and a bully attempt to get their way.

We would like this reopened as we need DPG to be held accountable for taking funds that are not theirs. we sent a response this morning and we would like it to end with Mr. ******* receiving his rightful funds.
