Around April 2023, I hired Handyman Connections to level my hallway for a flooring upgrade. I wanted them to use a level agent. They said it couldn't be done due to too much leveling agent needed. It would Crack and not last. So we agreed to have new subfloor installed. Cost me $200 in materials and 500 for labor. It wasn't done correctly and it caused my vinyl planks to break. I called and explained what had happened. They sent a team and agreed a level agent was the way to go. Their work is guaranteed so I agreed. After many failed attempts to get the job started over the phone, they sent me a bill. I accepted it to get them to start the work because its taking weeks of no shows. After job completion they sent me a bill for approx $1050. 200 for different materials (the stuff i wanted in April 23) and 700 for more labor. I went down to talk and the company refused to see my side. I told them about the guarantee and they said i agreed to the original quotes, this was a different job and I must pay. No guarantee for me. I said I won't pay twice for the job and then the company threatened to get a lean placed on my home. I served my country for 21 years. This is unacceptable. Please call for further details. ###-###-####. I'm also willing to come in for questions.

Handyman connection was to clean off all popcorn off ceilings in basement and prep and repair for painting. Prep all walls for paint. Also designated areas on wall/ceiling area need to be cut and fixed, Handyman started this job around June and are still not finished. They told us it could be done in about a week. After multiple complaints about still being able to see seams holes that were patched in the ceiling and improper shilelding the first crew was fired. Also the general manager of the company was fired. He was fired for having too many jobs that he couldnt keep up with. We found out that two companies merged and when the new company took over they promised to fix everything. They told us a housecleaner would be hired and that everything would be fixed if they could just work while we were on vacation. So they did. My son checked on them and only saw two guys working during the whole week one day. Then he saw the cleaning lady there. She complained it was too much work because they didnt shield anything properly. So she left. Our 4 ft fiberglass ladder was taken and not returned during construction. Also our shopvac was used to clean the drywall dust and now it is useless for anything but that because it is full of white powder. They have been called to fix the problems in the basement multiple times. They have come out and patched the areas in question with more knock down which just makes them stick out more prominently. They did hire another housecleaner and she came to clean and cleaned my laundry room and one bedroom. After she came to clean they came back to do more work in that bedroom and now it looks like she never cleaned in there. There was mud on the fireplace and she did clean that off. She had another date to clean but handyman had not finished so I told her not to come until they were finiished. We tried callling them multiple times and no phone calls were returned. We tried scheduling with the housecleaner not able to reach.
