      On May 23, 2023 I hired and paid ($***) Erik ****** of Maybee Property Inspections to complete a mold inspection in the home I was renting at **** ******* ******* *****. I reported the smell of mold and occasional sewer to my landlord on 3/10/23 and they had yet to fix the issues, so I hired Erik. When he arrived he stated he could smell the mold as soon as I opened the door. He also found a sewage leak under the house. He told me it would take 72 hours for the lab to return the results and he would contact me the following week. I I contacted them on 5/31, 6/6, and 6/9. He finally responded on 6/9 saying the levels were fine he was just waiting on the lab to send the results. It does not take 3 weeks to get lab results and I know he is being *********. He has also been in contact with my landlord instead of me regarding the results.

      I did respond that I was waiting on the lab results. I never talk to the landlord, nor do. I know the landlords name as it was not given to me. The results came in and the levels were elevated. I asked her to wait for the lab. She’s not been friendly in the entire conversation. Here are the results for the lab. On the house on **** ******* ******** ** *****

      I am rejecting this response because: The attached lab analysis is not from the original samples taken. The attached report states the test were collected on 6/7/2023 which is two weeks after the samples were taken on 5/23/2023. When Erik came to my home he stated he would have the results within 72 hours, not 3 weeks later.

      The sample is from Jenny ******** inspection. It is also contains the address of the house where the test was preformed **** ****** ******* **. We can not be held liable for the time the lab takes to process the samples.

       

      I’m shocked that the BBB would let a complaint like this stand as it is clear she wanted to find something that is not is not there and when the test found something other than what she wanted she filed a complaint.

      I am rejecting this response because: my concerns were not addressed. Again, the mold inspection I paid for was collected on 5/23/2023 and the mold report attached has a collected date of 6/7/2023. The latter collection seems to have been taken with a Mold Detective Kit, which is not certified nor did Mr. ****** have such kit when he inspected the home on 5/23/2023.  All I want is the lab report for the inspection that was completed on 5/23/2023. I have given Mr. ****** every opportunity to correct the situation and he obviously has no intention of doing so.

      The address is clearly marked on the report. The date is the date the lab processed the samples. I cannot comment on why it took so long for them to process. Like all things in this industry there is a back log.
