First, I was asked’ do you accept’ the business’s response, I do not, and the opposite of accept is reject. So yes that is a ‘thing’.
The deck is in use because it’s attached to my home and one must cross it to get to one of the main entrances, so yes it’s for the moment in some state of ‘use’. I haven’t corded it off with ‘crime scene’ tape if that’s what the business expects. This doesn’t change the fact that I get questions and remarks about the shoddy workmanship regularly. Also, I want to know, does the business have my home under surveillance?  I also don’t have time for this, just like I didn’t have time to wait months for this job to be even started, despite being told it would only be weeks. The only solution I recall being offered is that I pay even more to once again correct the errors and bad work of the business, I have already said that is a non-starter. If a full refund is is not an option for the business than I suggest the amount of the materials I paid for, to correct their earlier mistakes, plus the cost of having this present mess corrected by another contractor, plus the materials necessary. I should never have had to pay for supplies, and return of those supplies, to correct their earlier mistakes, this cost should have been deducted from the amount due. This is my suggested solution to the situation and I think it is a fair one. If this ends up being taken to court, I will be asking for a full refund of all expenses incurred by me, plus damages and court/lawyer fees. In that scenario a judge can decide how much of that is warranted. Also, I am asking again that the business cease and desist the usage of the deceptive photos of my home from their business Facebook page and anywhere else they might have used them. Our contract did not give them the right to use photos of my home, which makes it illegal for them to be using them. Also, it’s false advertising due to the fact that they do not specify that they only did the floor of my porch and not the porch itself, which was done by another contractor and the photos used are conveniently taken from a distance and cropped to not show their bad workmanship. Posting photos of a job done for a customer who is not pleased with your work, without permission and not saying so, is deceptive and dishonest.
ormation about the job she did for me on facebook. I have tried multiple times to find a solution to this issue, even offering the compromise of her redoing only the worst aspects of her work, but she refuses so I am now filing this report and considering legal action to be reimbursed all paid to Williamson Home Renovations plus the supply expenses incurred to fix their earlier mistakes (they didn’t procure the color of decking I requested) on the same job. I want full reimbursement so I can pay a competent contractor to fix their mess. I have all text correspondence showing her dishonesty, rudeness towards me. I also have additional photos of the bad workmanship

I have tried to work with the client and resolve the “cosmetic” issues. His solution is a full refund which is not practical or logical at this time. We had to reconfigure the entire frame after it was built. It met the height requirements per building codes, but the client demanded it be dropped to ground level. The deck is two separate sections due to the entry door being at ground level which prevents the surface from being one area. The top of the deck was put down on one half of the area which means all of the product was cut and in place, but not everything was secured. That evening is when the client contacted me stating the  color was wrong. I ordered what he specified and the product had been at his home for a week before we started, so he had ample time to say something before anything was cut or attached. He then decided that he would order the product which was fine, but the retailer does not and will not take back something that was cut which meant it still had to be paid for by the client. I took off the amount for the material that was returned, but I also had to pay for labor, gas and my time that was caused by no fault of mine, I billed the client for those things.  The product came in that the client ordered and we were out within a week to start the install,  but he didn’t order enough material which caused another delay. He ordered more material and we finished the project. Bottom line, we have offered solutions and he is very difficult to work with. We did speak about the miter cuts and edges which I have a witness to in regards to the cuts that he is complaining about, I explained to him they would not match up because his house is not square and we cannot change the framing  because of the “bow” in his framing. At completion of the project, he did question the cuts again and it was explained to him before he made the final payment. This was a project that another contractor started but never came back to finish which should of been a red flag for me to start with but I agreed. I’m still open to a resolution, but I will not tolerate his insults, hostile work environment or anyone whom is helping me worrying about what may happen while we are at the job site. Also, the materials were ordered in a timely fashion, but they were on back order and then we had two different snow storms. We all know that decks aren’t built during a blizzard which is information that he failed to share.

We have responded, he “rejected” the response if that’s such a thing. The deck is in full use, the client had a verbal agreement and was told why the cuts were made as a butt cut verse miter. I have zero time to battle back and forth, I have offered solutions and the client does not want to compromise. A full refund isn’t an option as the entire deck is not the issue nor did he pay me the amount he is stating. If he would like so offer another solution, I am open to hearing his suggestions.
