I hired *** *****, dba Western Painting, to paint exterior of house & shed, also prep & stain deck. During initial visit we discussed details & that I wanted a good, thorough job done. Don’t we all? He wasn’t the cheapest bid nor the most expensive, I really felt like this was going to go well. He started the job on 8.20.24. His workers were cordial & respectful, as I was with them. The first day of painting, *** ***** berated me when I had some questions. He put his hands up, turned around & loudly said “don’t start that, none of my customers have EVER complained”! I couldn’t believe it! Never in my life! A little later he came & apologized. One of his workers later told me that they were embarrassed when he talked to me like that. Seemed they rushed to get done. Deck looks terrible ($1450) bare spots, inconsistent coverage, dried stain drips all over. Lack of paint detail (messy)
on house trim, doors, windows. Stain & paint all over rock bed. Plants squashed. No respect for my property?
When *** ***** came for final touch ups & payment on 9.3.24, he said “they” had walked around already & everything was done. What??? I WASN’T part of that walk around! I’M THE CUSTOMER paying him $8000!!! I nicely tried to address issues that were missed. He cut me off, became irritated, raised his voice, saying that “they are not perfect” & “look at some of these other houses!!” He had ZERO intentions to look at or correct anything! He said he’d rather take some $$ off the total bill & ME have someone else do it. He gave me $200 off?!?! I didn’t want to be berated again, outside, in front of my neighbors. I just wanted him to leave! So depressing to be disrespected & scammed out of hard earned $$!! I’ve had 3 other companies bid to fix his work, they saw it & can’t believe the poor workmanship & terrible customer service. It’s gonna be way more than $200 & he needs pay for it. I don’t want him back on my property, Disrespectful, unprofessional & condescending!

I've been in business for over 40 years and never had a complaint.  On the final day of the job we did a walk around and she said everything looks great. She paid me in full for the house and the  deck.if she wasn't happy why did she pay me in full?? I instructed her if she could put the furniture back on the deck after the deck dried for a week or so.Which she did put the furniture back on. now , She says the deck doesn't look good. Why would you put the furniture on if the deck if it didnt look good??

    Complaint: ********

Your comments make no sense, are unprofessional and all over the place. No “scan” here. Just wanted a good job done for my $8000 spent. I didn’t want any money back, I gave you the opportunity more than once to make it right, but you wanted no part of it. You’ve threatened me, been condescending and berated me throughout this entire process. I’m certain that the BBB will find this evident while reviewing all the correspondence in my complaint.
