    Had a hip replacement almost 5 weeks ago. Had gone to Innovative for two weeks, really enjoyed the professional and encouraging staff. Then Monday my appointment was switched to the owner, whom I’d never met, and the whole experience changed. Employees were berated in front of clients, which is completely unprofessional, toxic, and certainly NOT therapeutic. But by far the worst thing was when the owner was giving me a cold laser treatment on my 4 1/2 week old surgical scar (a first, something I’d never heard of or discussed with my surgeon), she felt my scar and said, ”Oh, your poor husband.” Now, you can feel sorry for my husband for many things, but my surgical scar should certainly be far on down the list. I’ve been doing physical therapy since last September at different facilities, and never until last night had I gotten a sick feeling in the pit of my stomach at the thought of having to go into a PT business. Fortunately, I made today my last appointment there, the owner was not present, so it ended on a much higher note, and I will be seeking PT from someone else. And in case this review is replied to that there is no record of my having been in, I did keep today’s receipt.
