I placed an order for a LE trade-in Glock 17 Gen 5 on 6/1/2025. Picture of this item at KYGUNCO website shown this G17 Gen 5 has forward serrations (the forward serrations is an improvement to Gen 4 and unique to Gen 5). Received the item on 6/12/2025 and found the slide seems to be an after market piece that has no forward serrations, and the serial number on the slide does not match serial numbers of the frame and barrel. Called KYGUNCO on 6/12/2025 and talked to ****** about the discrepancies of picture/description and the actual item received. She asked for pictures of the item received and I sent pictures the same day. I then received an email from KYGUNCO stating that the piece I received is correct that LE trade in pieces do not necessarily have forward serrations. Called KYGUNCO on 6/13/2025 and ****** stated the same that the item I received is correct. I am very disappointed and wondering if this Glock 17 Gen 5 is put together with spare parts. As stated, the weapon is a police trade in. These weapons are used guns and come to dealers as is. An officer can make changes to his weapon as necessary. Although these items are used, they do go out in working order. As a consumer you do have the right to inspect the weapon at your FFL and refuse it. If you should do so we would pay to have it returned and refunded you money or sent you another unit depending on your request. Once the item has been taking home it is considered acceptable.
As for the pictures on our website they all have disclaimers under them that read as follows.

I placed a firearm on a 90-day layaway 06/07/24 and
paid it off within 90 days. It was sent out to my local Armory on or around 09/07/24.

Explanation - I went to the range and tried to use it in October but was unable to fire it. I loaded the magazine and pulled back the slide, but it jammed up and was not able to fire a round after a few attempts.
I called the seller Kentucky Gun Company to speak to somebody about the new faulty firearm that I purchased/ received and requested a refund. I was told that I would have go through the manufacturer – ***** * ******, and to send a letter of explanation via email which I did.
I received a response from the manufacturer – ***** * ******, with a *** ** label to return the Firearm along with the letter of explanation. I received an email from the manufacturer - ***** * ******, that the item was received with the RMA number of ******* and telephone number of **************. I called them and requested a refund but was told that it would take 5 weeks for a status of repair, and I would have to go through the seller for a refund.
I contacted the seller AGAIN with this information and they told me that they don’t inspect the items they sell from the manufacturer. I was advised that somebody from that department would contact me, but I have not heard back from anybody at Kentucky Gun Company. I am a repeat customer and am very disappointed with this outcome. This was supposed to be a new firearm, and each party is claiming the other should issue a refund. Nobody is claiming responsibility.
In the meantime, I am without a new firearm and my money.
I am requesting them to transfer this item out of my name and back into their possession and give me a full refund of $552.81.Business Response

****, thank you for reaching out to us regarding your recent experience with KGC. Per our company policy, if you encounter issues with a firearm, the manufacturer will have to warranty this item. We do make exceptions but usually if the firearm has already been taken home from the FFL dealer, KYGUNCO cannot take the firearm back. We usually push our customers to contact the manufacturer for repair or replacement. KYGUNCO does not modify the firearms at all. The firearms are shipped into us, go on our warehouse shelf's, awaiting to be sold. If you would please contact ***** * ******, telling them to ship the firearm back to us after repair, we will offer a full refund once the firearm is back in our possession.Customer Answer

1) have not read the Email
2) are not aware that the dealer had already returned the Firearm long ago ( without any request from anyone)n
Those multiple evidences, are the clear sign that Kygunco is a scam company and must be reported.
The case continues to be open, with the addition of a 5% interest payment to my initial request.

I am rejecting this response because: ********** is made up of a bunch of liars.1) The sales agenda confirmed to me IN WRITING they were sending me the Collector box -see attachment (FOR THE 5th time!)
2) ******** has promotions EVERYWHERE in their website linking to ******. A sign that ******ming is affiliated and co operates with ********. Even now --> anyone can go and check (Example here: **********************************************)
3) Everyone can visibly see from the ******mung Website, that they had they I ordered the "Case hardened" , which means exactly what I rodered see attachment (FOR THE 5th time!)
4) they told me they do not have those firearms. Another lie as from the order page from ******* website, they did indeed have over 1,000 pieces available see attachment (FOR THE 5th time!)
My request remains the same PLUS the addition of 100US$ as time to work on this case and respond to those false Emails
Disgraceful and DISHONORABLE company, should lose their license, therefore we are going to report them to the ****** ** ******** ******** ******** *** **********

Purchased a rifle from them! Rifle has a small dent on the stock and shows no damage from shipping!
Scratches and dent firearms are generally sold as blemished firearms and sold for a little less than firearms without blemishes!
I requested a small credit for them blemish however they refused and instead want me to return the rifle to the manufacturer! If the rifle was defective, then it would have to be returned for repair but for a small dent, either they will refuse and return it wasting days of use or they will replace the dented stock causing a mismatch in the wood! Started off very poorly, i was hung up on, had my email blocked and constant issues trying to even PURCHASE this item, which was a 79.99 DK20 20GA, complete dangerous disaster of a gun, poor metal to the point it was dangerous, firing pin broke in under 2 boxes of standard federal 20GA, trigger stuck and broke not long after that, i get tossed from the "manufacturer" back to the seller and i'm tired of it! I've wasted time, my calls aren't being picked up or nothing. I've already begun chargeback procedures as my email was blocked and i cannot get in touch with ANYONE. I will return them this dangerous POS if they send me a label, but i will not pay a cent, it's a borderline pipe bomb. This brand of turkish guns will get someone killed, seriously. I will never do business w/ this "company" again. They owe me my 80 dollars, and should stop carrying this brand before someone dies.Business Response

I purchased a ******** ************* ***** ****** and when I went to make sure it would eject a round and rechamber, it didn't. The bolt gets stuck forward and you have to pry it open almost every single time. I used 2 different types of magazines and two different types of ammo to no avail. They all have the same issue. I did absolutely nothing to firearm besides to try to use it. I tried to email the company and, I got no response. I called there customer service on May the 3rd and sat on hold for 3 hours with zero human communication. I just want to ship this back to them and get my money back. Also tried to call them today on May the 4th and they are open for business based on there hours and the calls won't even go through, just someone saying there open today (May 4th) but will be closing 3pm.Business Response

Bought a FN 509 cc Edge they shot this gun multiple times. Then proceeded to tell me it was the manufacture. Said they would send a replacement. Would be 1-2 weeks, I said that was fine. One week went by so I called and spoke with a guy there, He said they just received the new firearm. They would send it out the next day. Today I get a phone call from Danelle that they received the old firearm and they would clean it and send it back to me. So I asked when they said they would get me a replacement and now what has changed? They are back tracking to just clean the old one and send it back to me. Not standing behind their word is not trust worthy while spending 1300 dollars with them. So now I am weeks out to get the same gun I could have cleaned myself. Could have told me up front they weren’t going to get me a replacement that they would just clean it.Business Response

The firearm purchased from us was an FN 509 CC Edge. We were under the impression this firearm was very dirty and had carbon build up. Once the firearm arrived at KYGUNCO, we immediately inspected the firearm to determine if we were able to fix the issue or if we needed to send this model back to the factory. The condition of the FN 509 when it arrived at KYGUNCO was immaculate. The firearm did not have residue or carbon build up. We had our gunsmith look at this firearm to confirm that as well. Although we didn’t find anything defective with the firearm, we cleaned it and contacted the customer to explain what was going on. Our ETA from FN extended to over 60 days. Since the firearm was still brand new and freshly cleaned, we decided there was nothing wrong with this firearm and offered it back to the customer at no additional cost for shipping or extra payment. We did apologize for the inconvenience and even offered to keep our order open with FN along with offering a full refund to the customer. – Neither of the choses were chosen and the customer asked us to send the firearm back to them. We complied and sent the freshly cleaned, brand new in box, firearm back to the customer.
