    This company provides water to a large area of the county, they constantly have water outages and seem to be in no hurry to resolve them timely, with often multiple days in a row of no water per outage. They have also recently hiked prices on their billing despite no change to their reliability in ensuring water distribution. They have a monopoly on water in the region with no competition so they act with little regard to their customers as there is no one else to turn to. Changes must be made to provide reliable and safe water to their customers

    Black Mountain Utility District had a leak on Friday and four employees worked till 9:30 Saturday night finding and fixing the leak.  we can not control when and where a leak appears or how long it will take to find it.  when a system is out of water we do not stop looking or working till the leak is fixed.  Also Black Mountain Utility is regulated by the Public Service Commission and attached is the last order for a rate increase that was ordered by them.  this is the second third leak where Coldiron has been without water in 2024

    This water company is the WORST IN THE WORLD they take our money our consisting of 1000’s of customers and CAN NOT PROVIDE US WITH WAYER ITS COMPLETELY RIDICULOUS

    The Black Mountain Utility District has the control over the water supply in most of Harlan County Kentucky, and unfortunately for probably the last 6 months or longer residents of this county have went weeks on end without water. They claim to have busted water lines, or that city water was affected and it cut their water supply. Then they’ll cut water off to half of the county and let the rest have it. We go longer without water than we do with it. Our bills are never late or they are quick to cut our water supply off. They won’t even give us credit on our bills for going so long without it, if anything the bill seems to be more expensive. When you call and report having no water they are very rude, won’t answer any questions and will never give a time frame on when water will be restored. They spent a lot of money on huge tanks to hold water in the particular part of the county I live in, and won’t even fill one of them up and use it. We go days on end without water to wash clothes, cook or take a shower and flush our toilets with. County officials don’t seem to want to help there citizens either. It’s getting very ridiculous and something definitely needs to be done about it.

    Black Mountain Utility Purchases water for the area that *** ******* lives in from the **** ** ***** and it is the only source of water that we have to purchase in that area attached is the posts that ****** put on there face book page we cant pump water if our supplier don't have water to pump and we Charge a basic bill for any water under 2000 gallons per the ****** ******* ********* that control the rates and how we bill if the customer dont use over 2000 gallons they get a basic bill if they use more then 2000 they get charged for that water and that is how the billing works
