On December 20, 2024, I purchased 50.00 worth of gift card/vouchers for a Christmas gift for my daughter, ******* ****** from Burger and Bowl in Bowling Green, KY. ************* When these gift vouchers were presented for purchase of a meal, the manager denied them stating that they could not be used. As it turns out, a few hundred other customers also purchased vochers in which they were also not honored. This is a scamming attempt, and theft. I must have my money refunded since they would not honor the gift vouchers. This company, Burger and Bowl manager was told my daughter, the recipient, ******* ****** would bring the vouchers back and collect the money back which I spent.

During the Holiday season we offer a gift card deal. Two $25.00 gift cards for $40.00. During running this deal we sold out of the all gift cards we had on hand, and while waiting for more to be mailed to us, we made a "voucher" to be traded out for the gift cards. We explained to every one who purchased the deal, and received a voucher instead of the actual card, that we would be able to trade out their voucher for cards once they came in. The way our restaurant is set up is that there are several self order kiosks, that only take payment via cards, and a POS system at the front where cash and discounted meals must be rang in. The temporary voucher cannot be used on the kiosks, only the POS. This is the one and only reason that a guest would have been told their voucher would not work, if they had tried to order on the kiosk. But, never said that it would not be honored. There was a conversation on the phone between my GM and the purchaser of the gift card, but she was not given the chance to fully explain the situation from our side, just immediate accusations of theft. We are an honest and locally owned business and we take this seriously.
