  I am rejecting this response because: the company is being dishonest about some of the statements they brought up. Although I admit I did have the date wrong it was Saturday night the car got towed my apologies as to it was a 3 day weekend because Monday was Martin Luther king's birthday. false statements from company are stating I went to the sheriffs office and it was I never visited the ******** ****** ******** *******I had warrant in hardin co and was in the process of being taken care of.Also, they made statement that I didnt have insurance but the insurance is in my wife's name. I had a document signed by a notary given my wife permission to retrieve vehicle and was denied because the towing company said it wasnt allowed. The sheriff then told her that I needed to be the one to pick up the vehicle simply because he wanted to arrest me. So our family car was being held from us because I had a bench warrant that was in the process of being dropped in a different ******.The towing company also states that I contacted them and then my wife but my wife was the one who contacted them every time due to I could not at the time. i never spoke with them. When we finally found where the car had been taken they held car from us and wouldn't release it. By the time they did the charges was more than what the car is worth. We really need this vehicle as it is the only means of transportation for my family. I have 3 children that has already had to miss several ball games and band concerts due to not having a way. Almost lost my home because I didnt have a way to work to make money to pay the Bill's. I  just think that it is wrong for them to withhold car from me until the fees are overwhelming. Please me and my family need our car to get by. Sincerely,

  We are responding to a complaint for a wrecker call we responded to on 01/14/23.  We received a call from ******** ****** ******** to tow an abandoned vehicle that was blocking the roadway.  We are on a rotating wrecker list with ******** ***** ******* ******** ****** ******** ******* *********** **** ****** *** ** *** **** * *** provider in our area.  Upon arrival the vehicle was blocking one lane of traffic, the deputy on scene informed our company to tow the vehicle and place a hold on the vehicle because the owner/operator had an outstanding warrant, no vehicle registration, suspended drivers license and no insurance.  Deputy did not give us any names at this time which is standard protocol and is not our responsibility to try to find the vehicles owner.  We were contacted 2-3 days later by the owner asking the charges for the tow which at that time was informed he must contact the sheriff’s department to get the vehicle released.  Several days pass then a female calls our office inquiring about the vehicle in which she was informed of the same information.  A few hours later we were contacted by the ******** ****** ********* ******* who had the vehicle towed, to make sure we DID NOT release the vehicle to the female caller for the reasons stated before had not been resolved.   On 01/23/23 we were contacted by the ******** ****** ******** stating the owner had came into the Sheriff’s office and had taken care of everything and the car could then be released to the owner.  A couple days later the female calls again to ask the charges which are over $500 at this time and asked if we could waive the fees.  I do not understand why they feel we could waive the fees, and I feel as if the letter to the BBB had a lot of left out information that needed to be explained.  We are a family owned and operated business and provide fair services for everyone.  The statement to the BBB from ****** ******** is false, he informed of incorrect dates.   He claims the tow was on Friday evening which is incorrect It was Saturday night.  There are only 3 towing companies that tow for the ******.  Our business is located approximately 5-8 minutes from his given address in the complaint which would make it easy to find their vehicle.  You can follow up on our response by contacting the ******** ****** ********* ******* **** to validate this response.
