    I rented a boat slip 6/15/22 for $1200.00 for my 21 ft. deep hull boat. I was told at the time that I rented the slip that I wouldn't have any problem launching the boat and I would be able to use it until 12/31/22. However, I was not told that the ********** of Engineers drain the lake in August therefore I was not able to launch my boat on 8/19/22. Two weeks after I rented the slip when I went to the ****** to take my boat out in the lake my boat was filthy dirty from flies, **************** I had to clean my boat before I could take it out in the lake. The next time I went to the ****** the same thing happened. I had to take my boat out of the boat slip and take it home to clean. Also on 8/19/22 when I tried to take my boat out it got stuck in the mud and broke the prop because the water had been lowered 5 ft., which I was not told about when I paid for the slip. I was only able to use my boat approx. 4 times during the boating season therefore I believe I should be refunded my $1200.00 or at lease a partial refund. The reason I didn't file with the BBB before is because I contacted the owner and she stated that she had just purchased the busines and was unable to give me a refund. However, over the winter she remodeled the whole restaurant so she must have made money during the summer of 2022. I don't feel it's fair that she should be able to keep my money for a boat slip that I was unable to use. I emailed the owner, *********************** several times in 2022 asking for at least a partial refund and was unable to resolve the issue.
