I bought a truck from Piles. Found out later that there was SEVERE structural damage reported on it prior to my purchase. Under Kentucky law Ky. Rev. Stat. § 186A.540 Piles was supposed to disclose this in writing prior to purchase. They failed to due so and now won’t reason with my requests. Make sure you ask for the auto check or carfax from them before you sign any type of agreement. They boast about integrity but can’t admit when they messed up and own up to it. I will never recommend anyone purchase from here.

The auto check does read " Auction announced as structural damage " and does list it as severe. The title was not branded. The date of this entry on AutoCheck is 06/17/2020 and again on 6/24/2020.Piles Chevrolet took possession of this vehicle on 01/26/2022,We inspect all of are vehicles that we offer for retail. There were no issues with the frame. Every vehicle we have for sale has a free AutoCheck available for anyone to see. KRS 186.540 does say if a dealer has direct knowledge which results in a $2,000 repair and that occurred while in the dealers possession that a written disclosure must be provided to the purchaser and a signature acknowledging the disclosure of damage. We clearly did not have possession of this vehicle. I have verified this with the legal counsel of K.A.D.A ( Ky. automobile dealers association ). I have offered to look at Mr. Caudill's truck for possible trade in and offer fair market value based on condition and miles. Mr Caudill indicated to me that a dealer or dealers were only offering $2,000 for trade-in and that low offer is based on structural damage listed on AutoCheck . I will again offer to get a value on his truck based on fair market value and the condition of the truck

Vehicle had an exhaust issue when I purchased it that was assured to be fixed, but has never been fully fixed. It has caused the vehicle now to have multiple problems and the Service manager knows about it and literally put me off for months "getting approval" for the fix and now the 1 year warranty has been passed for a few months.
Add to that the vehicle now cuts out when I slow down from highway speeds any time I slow down, which means mid-turn also. This is our only car and I'm the only driver with a job that has me driving hundreds of miles per week, and yet they will not work me in to get this fixed during the only true "down" week I have work wise.
Will Threlkeld (service manager) has been dealing with me, but now I find I get passed off to people under him that have no knowledge of what is going on with the vehicle. I just wish they stood behind their vehicles they sell better.....lesson learned.
