    I took my F150 into Ford Swope in Elizabethtown Ky to have my cam phasers replaced under Fords customer satisfaction program. This process started in Oct of 2022, they ordered the parts and told me to drive the vehicle until the parts came in and could schedule the repairs. I had to contact Ford Swope a few times to get the work scheduled and I was finally able to drop the truck off January 16, 2023. I did not get my truck for a week, they I was able to drive it for a few days then on the 26th of January the truck got stuck in neutral, come to find out the cable disconnected from the transmission. Ford Swope assisted thankfully and got me back on the road the same day. However, I left for vacation a week later and the truck drove alright, it felt like something was off but I was not sure what it was or if it was the new feeling of fresh cam phasers. I was mistaken. the day we were leaving vacation me and my family loaded into the truck and started down the road, and the check engine light came on. I had it scanned a O'reilly's Code: P0016, I contacted Ford Swope and they said to have it checked by a ford dealers. I did not make it to a dealer, we pulled out of the parking lot a little while later and the truck shut down in the middle of the road. I had it towed to my local ford dealer who I trust and the first question after I told the service manager what happened was "did you have you cam phasers replaced recently"? Per the Service manager " the Crankshaft gear was torqued incorrectly, allowing it to move and then it split and then engine went out of time causing piston to hit valves, which the end results is no compression on many cylinders", suggested correction is new heads, camshaft, and crank gear. This situation stranded my whole family in Tx. No way home. After contacting rental companies we were forced to buy a vehicle just to get home, and not miss more work, and cost us annual leave time. I'll never go back to Ford Swope again.

    We apologize for the inconvenience that *** ****** has experienced. His truck has been transported back to Kentucky in good running condition after repairs being made under Ford warranty. Any other situations incurred have been resolved to *** ******'s satisfaction.
