On November 4, 2021 I paid $875 to ********* **** ****** for a deposit on their Preston highway wedding venue. I paid the other half, $875, again on February 12, 2022. In full I paid $1750 which was the total price for the use of their venue for my wedding scheduled for October 30th, 2022. I was informed by email on May 16th 2022 that the building was no longer theirs and the wedding would have to be moved to their other venue on another date or I could cancel the contract and get my money back. I chose to get my money back because it was obvious by this point they don't know what they're doing. The termination contract stated I would receive my $1750 in full by September 30, 2022. I did not. I finally got a check on Novemeber 1, 2022. Guess what, it bounced! Now I am going to have to pursue legal action if I do not get my money from ******** ********* ASAP. What a sham of a "business."

Hardly a sham of a business.

After being informed the check did not clear, we immediately allied the bank only to find out it was ran by mistake TWICE November 2nd.

IMMEDIATELY after being informed I personally withdrew the cash, covered the fee, and met with the client.

    This has been PAID.

    Better Business Bureau:

I agree with the business owner, she did promptly pay me in cash after the check bounced. I was panicking when I submitted my review and even though the pay back time was past when I was promised and their check bounced; they made it right.  At the end of the day I think the business is fair in their dealings, just not always on time due to unforeseen circumstances. .

    Regards,

On 9/22/2021 I paid $400 for an event planned in November 2021. Due to being hospitalized I had to cancel my event, I reached out in October 2021 about cancellation and my options. Since I didn’t want to loose my deposit & I was also interested in rescheduling my event, I was given a credit on my account with them until I decided on a date to reschedule. I did reach out and discuss possible dates for a new event but they quit responding and I never signed a second contract to book my event. On social media I found out that their location I was supposed to use had closed down. I reached out to the company and after being ignored they finally got back to me and are being very unreasonable with getting my refund back. I understand that I can’t get my $200 deposit back. However since I never signed a second contract to reschedule, I should get the rest of my money back. They people running this business are saying they owe me nothing and won’t respond to me even after reaching out multiple times. I have proof of all conversations saved in my emails. The voicemail box for this company is also full. Please help me get my money back.

On May 1, 2022 I placed a deposit of $850.00 to hold the *** ******* wedding venue. On May 16, 2022, I received an email from ******** stating the lease at the ******* location will not be renewed and that to receive a refund a contact termination must be signed. The termination contract was not disclosed in the original contract. The original contract states, “if any casualty or unforeseen occurrence shall render ***’s fulfillment of this Agreement impossible, then this Agreement shall terminate, and *** shall refund the Renting Party the Rental Charge and the Deposit.” In the email that I received on May 16, 2022, the terms of a refund were changed. The termination contract states a refund will be issued in the order of events as per booking calendar. I completed the termination request and emailed it back on June 1, 2022. On June 10th and June 15th I sent her emails asking for an update on when I would receive a refund. No response was received. I then made multiple calls asking about the refund. At first she said call back in a couple weeks if you don’t have anything to check. Nothing was received. Called back then what she said was hopefully by the end of this year. Gave her another month tried to get in touch via phone, no answer on multiple occasions and different days. I feel as if I have given her adequate amount of time to process a refund. Since my deposit and notice of her cancellation was made within 15 days, I believe the money should have been returned immediately as the funds were not used for the purpose intended. Since it was a deposit, the funds should have still been made available for a refund. The second agreement that I was forced to sign to receive a refund should not have consideration and should be unenforceable as I was told I would not receive a refund unless I signed the document, and this process was not disclosed in the original contract. By not receiving my refund this is doing harm to me as i cannot reserve another wedding venue.

The Haycraft does not have any contract with **** *******

If Mrs ****** wishes to dispute anything regarding the The *******- which is a separate venue, that will not be done or through The Haycraft. Contracts for both properties are separate entities.

On Feb 5th 2022, I entered into a contract with Something Blue Event located off Old Preston Highway. This company is a subsidiary of the haycroft located in Elizabethtown. I paid my deposit and two other payments that totaled up to $275. In May they notified me that this location had to unexpectedly close. They offered me the Haycraft but based on my guests this wasn't an option. Early July I reached out asking about my refund. I was told on July 6th that my refund check was being issued in July. I have yet to receive any refund. I reached out last Friday and I still have not heard anything back.

Check was issued. Client reached out on Sunday, over the weekend when the office is closed, to receive electronic payment, we have not yet verified that payment has been cleared or not. Once this is done, we will stop payment on the check and touch base to get the payment compmeted.
