      On 03/29/2025 we took a ******* sewing machine and a ****** sewing machine to be repaired by Lukes Sewing Center. Margaret (owner) began dialog to sell a ****** Ruby Royal (demo model??) to us in exchange for our ******* sewing machine for $3,299.95. (We had paid over $4,000 for the ******* machine a few years ago which was a demo model that originally sold for over $6,000). Upon getting the ****** home and reading the sales ticket we noticed that the ****** machine was marked as a pre-owned machine rather than a demo. When my wife tried to sew on the machine, she had difficulty with it breaking the bobbin thread while sewing. After much frustration with the ****** machine, my wife decided that she just wanted her ******* back. Today (04/08/2025) she called to talk to Margaret to say that she just wanted to return the machine and get her ******* back. Margaret was not available but the man she talked to told her that refunds were not allowed and that she would; need to talk to Margaret when she was in the shop. The sales ticket does note at the bottom "No Cash Refunds / Merchandise Credit Only".

      On 4-9-2025 Luke's exchanged the ******* original purchase for a different model of customer's choosing.  The additional cost included all trade-in consideration and final purchase price.

      Customer agreed complaint was resolved.
