Mr. S***** installed a furnace in November, 2021. By mid-Jan there had been 4 issues with this furnace and I couldn't even run the furnace! Furnace then starting leaking. Mr. S***** came out 3 times to "fix" the problem each time saying it was fixed, but the leak always came back. Finally got a professional group (Help Heating & Cooling) to fix the issues: These were their notes: "Pictures of the old system installed by (John S*****) with issues highlighted will be available upon request from the HELP club office Due to the cost of repairs and the fact that this system has so many issues from (John S*****) it would be best to explore all options including a full system upgrade so this system is safe, reliable and efficient Drain pain under furnace is completely full of water System is a new 1 year old ******* furnace Evaporator coil is from the old 21 year old system no longer used Old system ran on R-22 refrigerant with the coil being left behind and not replaced Evaportor coil rusted Sheet metal used to seal cased coil to furnace which does not fit properly Using an old Evaporator coil that ran on R-22 refrigerant with a new system that runs on 410A refrigerant can cause holes in the Evaporator coil if not properly flushed Float wet switch was not connected to the unit Wire for wet switch was chopped in half Wet switch senses water under the furnace and shuts the system down if moisture is present Exhaust flu pipe not connected Exhaust flue pipe cares out toxic CO2 that the furnace gives off that is harmful to humans Flu pitched also is sloped down which causes a belly That slop can run back into the furnace and flood the unit No fresh intake on furnace Drain line PVC that handyman was said to be fixed was actually just pushed together and broken Exposed 120V wire from power switch to the furnace which is against code No junction box for shut off switch wires." Mr. S***** also charged me $720 to do other repairs, which he did not finish.
