1 starIf i could give lower I would. Cheap materials used. Was told a lot of lies throughout the whole process of building. Paid a premium for a lot that had a pond behind it to find out they made it smaller so not completely behind my house any more. They said a sewer man hole would be on the edge of our lot it is completely in our lot. Was told we owned more land then what we actually do. Our back yard is unable to put any thing like a pool or fire pit area due to easements everywhere. Back yard was not graded properly so when it rains it floods our patio inches from siding glass door. Have been told since Oct 2024 they would regrade and as of June 2025 still waiting. They don't seem to care that it could be ruining our foundation. Called and left messages and no one returns your calls. They are building a house next to me and i can not get out of my driveway and no emergency vehicle could get to me due to 3 trucks completely blocking the driveway and being told it will be there for more then 2 hours. And being told they have to build the house and hopefully i don't have to go anywhere. They are absolutely horrible to work with. DO NOT BUILD WITH FISCHER HOMES THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT ANYTHING OTHER THEN MONEY!!!!!!!!! I REPEAT DO NOT BUILD WITH FISCHER HOMES!!!!Review fromVince B

1 starBe cautious with this company, the one year warranty is not worth the paper it's written on to them. I built a higher end home with Fischer, and when I went to install the refrigerator (standard 36" french door), I was unable to open the right door. Fischer did not leave enough space in the opening to account for the wall, even admitted to it. After much back and forth, Fischer offered a $250 gift card, and said they could move the base cabinets over less than 1/4" which is not enough to fix the solution. I'm stuck with an opening that does not meet code for a refrigerator, and I had to go out and buy ($1k more) a zero-clearance hinge refrigerator with much less cubic ft to accommodate. ** makes this item, and there is one zero-clearance fridge on the market. If this gets discontinued and my fridge goes out I am stuck in a rock and a hard place. Also something I'll likely have to disclose if I sell reducing the value.Review fromMohan Pavan K

1 starI am hearing outside HVAC sounds through my insulated windows, it's likely due to a combination of factors including: poor window installation, gaps around the window frame, vibrations transferring through the wall, a noisy HVAC unit itself, or insufficient insulation in your walls, allowing sound to travel more easily; even with insulated windowsReview fromKevin P

1 starUpdate to 11-3-23 review: During a recent blackout, I happened to be in the garage. I thought the one wall was on fire at the ceiling. It turned out there was a gap up to a half inch wide and about four feet long between the interior wall top plate and the exterior. What I was seeing was the sun. Plus, several drywall seams in the garage ceiling were so poorly taped and mudded it looked as though the drywall would collapse at any minute. Later when clean the windows in a little used bedroom, it was noticed that at several points the were large "chips" and separations in the window framing that had been just painted over instead of properly repaired. Because of the broken water line, the master bath's toilet room was infested with water bugs. Also, twice, that bathroom flooded when the the toilet was flushed, one time resulting in the shower drain "erupting" & the need to replace all the baseboards and carpeting.Fischer claims the problems are general maintenance. And we had to repaint / stain the mailbox post because it was completely faded and had to apply almost a half pound of wood filler to fill all the popped knotholes.
Additional update. Our patio home has twelve interior doors. So far, half of the door knobs have come off in my hand. Instead of using a lockset/door knob that has the retaining screws mounted directly into the unit, the knobs use friction screws to hold an interior cover plate in place with a decorative cover plate over it. To secure the knob set, one has to line up the connecting rod, get a grip on the interior plate and hopefully twist it so the screws go thru the "keyholes", and then twist the decorative cover to expose the screws so they can be tightened. Because of the normal twisting of the knobs, the screws will come loose. This is in addition to numerous caulking and paint splatters, cracks in joints, and other signs of poor construction practices. I spent thirty some years involved in real estate appraisals and the quality they claim is not there.

1 starthey do a great job selling, after that, you are completely screwed with lies, delays and lack of communication. You get a one year warranty review where they look into items needed to be fixed/replaced, we are SEVEN months past our one year warranty and still waiting on them to do half of our list.STAY AWAY FROM FISCHER HOMES IF YOU WANT TO HAVE A RELAXED HOMEReview fromKevin P

1 starWe bought a Fischer Home based on their perceived quality. We had to have the main water line replaced because it got broken during construction. It took almost a year to get it done. Water pressure is still very low compared to our former, larger home which was on the water company. Numerous screw / nail pops throughout the house. Windows are only single hung, not double hung, thereby reducing ability to properly ventilate house. Level on insulation is questionable as the second floor can be up to 10 degrees hotter than the main floor. HOA fees were originally quoted as being $35 / month but are actually $170. After moving in, we had to go through the house and clean all of the window and door frames of the construction dust.Review fromNaga T

1 starThis is after 1 yr warranty, I have a single family home with basement. I raised an issue that the main floor is shaking while walking. The site manager who came to look and things fixed, told me that 'floor shaking issue' can't be fixed. He told all the joists are placed as expected, so there is nothing they can do. If everything is correct and as per standards, why is my floor shaking while walking and feel like my floor is collapsing while kids are playing. If this can't be fixed and if they can't find the issue, how can I trust my home in long run. Won't my floor get saggy over time. They finally made me sign the paper that all the issues are fixed... I even mailed warranty department regarding this issue and they replied back saying "We are unable to guarantee that all floor squeaks are resolved." That is not floor squeaks, floor is shaking..Review fromRafael E

1 starThis review is made after the 1 Year warranty service to be fair with the company and I have to say its the worst decision in my life. Simply do not buy a home built by this company. We have had issues with every single piece of this house. By words of some of their own Fisher Homes employees that got so sick and tired of coming to my house to fix issues that the hired subcontractors messed up and I quote; 'The problem with us is that lately we are hiring the cheapest contractors, we pay them very little so they tend to come in and do this crappy work just to get it over with'. This literally came from 2 different employees at different times, the second one didnt say it exactly like that but implied the same, which leads to all the issues we had, now the biggest one began with the salesman who pushed us to a bigger lot that the one we where thinking of. We already had a lot picked out but the he insisted that the lot we had in mind was going to be a hassle due to an easement it had right through the middle which divided the backyard so he advised to get the bigger one next to it which had the same easement but it was flatter hence it would give no issues in the future. After a lot of back and forward it came to one thing, I asked him if they where going to grade it out, seeded and straw it? and he said that they would... thats exactly what they didnt do, I waited until the 1 year warranty manager came, since the project managers kept saying that if someone could it was the manager on the 1 year and nothing, they told me it was an undeveloped area and left me 3 yards of top soil which was actually dirt for me to fix a quarter of an acre. We ended up having to pay a company 5k to fix it. that's after paying 20k for the lot that we where told it was going to be fixed by them. We have had issues with everything, pluming, electricity, landscaping, HVAC, gutters, everything. Its just ridiculous! Stay awayReview fromG. R.
