    Installers of washer dryer made permanent changes to home dryer vent without homeowner's consent. An adapter to the oval dryer vent in the wall was available, yet the installers were insubordinate and unprofessional and ignored customer's concerns, making permanent changes to dryer vent in the wall by crimping the oval duct and force-fitting it into a round configuration. This has resulted in damage to home that must now be reported to homeowner's insurer. Repeated contact with the business owners shows that their installation methodology is outdated and they insist on making permanent changes to homes, rather than adjusting to modern techniques of installation. It is unlikely that a repair is possible, given the extent of the damage & modification to the dryer vent. The business advertises themselves as a professional alternative to the "big-box" stores, yet their installers are primitive, undertrained, insubordinate and unprofessional.

    We are very sorry for the delivery issues.

    The pictures I can review do not show the type of venting existing at the home.  Dryers come with a 4" round rigid duct which is crimpled to allow 4" flexible ductwork to attach to the dryer.

    At times the ductwork installed at the home is not crimped at the end to allow the flexible venting to attach to the ductwork, so we crimp it, slide the vent on and clamp it to the ductwork.

    I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, reasons for rejection are included below.


    1. Before the deliverers/installers showed up at my house I informed them IN ADVANCE that the fixed ductwork was OVAL, NOT ROUND.
    2. I showed the installers the oval-to-round adapter that I already had purchased in advance of the installation and which I had been using for 2-3 years successfully.  They said they didn't need it but didn't explain why.
    3. The installers should have asked the homeowner if he wanted a permanent modification to the existing fixed ductwork, before launching into a completely unnecessary modification in secret.  
    4. Crimping ductwork also prevents a good seal between the flexible ductwork & the fixed ductwork, so this is not a good practice in general.
    5. Apologies after the fact are not sufficient when an ounce of prevention and care could have prevented this situation from developing.

    Both brand new refrigerator and a range were purchased from Hagedorn less than four months ago. First the refrigerator quit working, they no longer had the same make/model available had to pay more money for a replacement. Now the range quit working, repair man coming next week. If he can't fix the issue have been told once again will have to pay more money for replacement.

    This ** model washer cannot be re-programmed from hot/warm water usage to cold water useage.
    My household in past, present, and future will only use cold water to wash clothing. Two service
    technicians sent by ** has stated this model washer is hard programmed and cannot be changed.
    ** Appliance Support has stated the same. I would like an exchange of the wash with a model with a My Cycle option allowing programming to cold water on each cycle. I have many emails to support the communication between ** Appliance Support, Hagedorn Appliance and myself since December 6, 2023. I can sent on request.

    I bought a ********** refrigerator from Hagedorn. I have had nothing but problems with the freezer failing to maintain a food safe freezer temperature. After making numerous excuses, they finally sent a tech out in February to "fix" the freezer. It is now having the same problem even after a part was replaced. I have an extended warrantee with it. The warrantee company authorized the technician to come out in both instances. The technician came out again and said he would replace the same part and I would be called when the part came in. Over a week went by and I was not called. I called the extended warrantee company and they told me that Hagedorn did not order another part, but they were offering me a buy out of store credit for $431, after I paid $799 for it! The warrantee company said Hagedorn charged over $100 for their "repair" from February. I do not want store credit, after their selling me this defective refrigerator, after their excuses for it not working, failing to repair it, and then charging for the "repair," I would not buy a shoelace from them! I WANT A FULL REFUND AND I WANT EVERYONE TO KNOW WHAT HAPPENED BECAUSE IF I HAD READ A COMPLAINT LIKE THIS I WOULD HAVE NOT GIVEN THEM THE TIME OF DAY.
