I paid this business $800.00 UP FRONT when I booked movers for my recent move. I found them from a brochure that was displayed in the front lobby area of my downtown apartment community. The movers showed up late and about 30 minutes into the move they started arguing with each other about one being too slow for the other and in turn they started to get aggressive with my belongings. They moved super slow and brought nothing with them to help move my stuff (dolly, etc.) I had an employee of the apartment community monitoring everything because he had to stay with us to operate the freight elevator that I reserved for that day and he witnessed everything that went on that day. I was offered a refund of half the money ($400.00) that I prepaid, for all the issues that I was experiencing with the movers. My main concern was the damage being done to my furniture (mainly my bedroom dresser, bedroom TV, and my fireplace).
I am still concerned that these movers know where I live and were (reportedly) let go from the company after that day. Turns out the regular helper of the one guy that they sent was not available that day so the guy brought his brother to help. There is no way that they use bonded movers if they do not even know the people that they send. This was beyond traumatic to have gone thru AND I had to hire other movers to complete the job because their movers had to leave to pick up his girlfriend at 3:30 that day (which was a blessing in disguise to be done with them).
They ended up only sending me (via ******) a refund of $150.00 instead of the $400.00 that I was told that I would be getting. I told the owner of the company when he called me that I would be filing a lawsuit against them if they did not refund the balance by the end of the next business day. The company is NOT registered to do business in the state of ****
