1 starI took my SUV to Tom gill for a routine oil change. It took 2 hours even though I had an appointment I had to sit and wait. When I got in my car to leave the floorboards were pushed up. Almost impossible to drive. It was a Friday after 5:00 p.m. And I had to get my children i rushed home my husband looked at floorboards ans he looked under the car and noticed that there was marks all over and dents underneath. They had damaged my car on the lift and the floorboards on both sides were pushed up inside. I returned Monday with the car and showed them the damage they had done. They admitted to me that one of their guys put the car on the lift wrong and caused damage They said they would fix it. I agreed to let them fix it. 2 hrs later all they did was beat the humps down with a sledgehammer. The manager guaranteed me that there would be no further issues.i drove off the lot a few blocks to run some errands and immediately all my car dash lights came on And my car was not making noises All of the check engine lights, brake lights were all lit up. I immediately took the car straight back to Tom Gill. He told me that the whole brake system needed replaced and they kept my car for 2 weeks. During that two weeks the manager Dale called me and told me that my car needed a whole new engine. It would be zero cost and they were sending it to ******* **** to work on it because they were not able to do that at their shop. Two days later Dale calls and says the car is ready for a pickup. He said that was not the right vehicle that he called me about another vehicle belonged to another customer so he had no idea what he was even talking about. He's terrible at his job. I'm nervous to even drive it with my children in it it's not safe. I left tom gill and the engine light came on again. It was dropped on the lift and messed it up badly it's not safe for my kids they would only offer me what they thought it was worth not what I owed on it no help at all never do business with themReview fromJames R

I was recently have problems with my 2021 ****** and after Tom gill had fixed the problem just 3 days later my car was back to have the same engine problem which was the turbo for the car so I returned to the dealership in hopes it would get fixed soon they had no loaner vehicles and I was in a tough spot with work and stuff so I was just gonna get whatever I could get as a trade in just so I could have a ride to work. Test drove a 2019 ******* which had a known radio problem that was recently replaced but would not work for anyone who tried it. The sales manager Greg really convinced me they would 100% guarantee fix the problem so made the trade and had to wait a week to get it in the shop and after another week they have decided they couldn’t fix the problem and now I don’t have a working radio.Tom Gill Chevrolet

This service manager Dale P. Is as crooked as they come. I'm currently getting took as we speak. He had my truck there a couple weeks ago for electrical issues. Since I wouldn't buy his $700 backup camera, he made the excuse that the camera was the root of the electrical issue. I have a video I'll show to anybody where I fixed the camera. And now the electrical issue has off my whole truck shut down and in the service department. It will not do anything. Stay away from this dealership or should we call it the steelership? ??Tom Gill Chevrolet

On January 26, 2024, Mr. *****l presented his 2017 ***** *** for service with complaint of "back up camera not working, digital display in middle of dash continuously flashing on and off." Diagnosis concluded the root cause to ba a faulty back up camera. A repair estimate of $705.94 was declined. Mr. ****** was clearly explained that our workmanship warranty guaranteeing that our diagnosis will fix an issue is only applicable if we are permitted to make the repair. Declining the repair which we diagnosed, prevents our ability to verify the diagnosis, and therefore provide a guarantee. Mr. ****** chose to perform the repair on his own. Mr. ****** took vehicle without repair and was charged nothing for the diagnois. On February 23, 2024, Mr. ****** returned to our Service Department with a complaint of "service transmission light on, check engine light on, truck stalled, all dash lights out, no crank, towed in." Diagnosis found no power to engine control module, transmission control module or electronic brake control module due to separated wiring harness under dash, to left of brake pedal, at connector terminals. Mr. ****** approved estimate of $561.78 to repair. Vehicle was successfully repaired. Mr. ****** incorrectly believes that the diagnosis performed for the inoperable dash screen should have somehow fixed and/or prevented the later failure of the under dash wiring harness. The two are not related.Review fromLt. Garth P

Tom Gill Chevy (Florence Ky.) sales people told me they would do a drop ship of a new vehicle via BG, KY. for $1000. Had they bothered to research even 2 minutes and actually care the web demonstrates from a Reliable source that a few hundred dollars is typical. ____ If I could give Tom Gill Less than a ONE Star I would _____ I got it done promptly through another dealer in Cincy area farther away (w/ personal service and more care) and I only Paid $500(Dollars). ____100% less_____________ (THAT DEALER also got my additional business for “after deliver” accessories and labor.)___ __I offered Tom Gill Chevy an amiable simple solution and they are not bright enough to interpret it and make this an amiable situation..____ I‘m in the process of notifying all my 50 yrs. of Cincy area contacts, car clubs, county and govt. entities/parishes etc. about this travesty offer of over 100% non-value added quote ____Including my county commissioner staff who suggested a look see in the first place.____ (***** could make this an *** case study of how not to do business). ______As a Mechanical Engineer/Car expert for over 45 yrs, ***** *** *** trained, Certified Project Management Pro (****/Civic crusader and veteran I‘m absolutely appalled that a dealer could be so clueless multiple times (IGNORANCE is bliss with them it seems per objective evidence).____ I also served as Tech Expert for the renowned consumer BBB type club ****** ***t. _______________I also plan to contact ** and share this objective info. *** ********* As we mentioned in our email to you we apologize we could not assist you in the drop ship of your Corvette. When you asked our dealerhsip for a price our people quoted a price that they thought would be fair. This was the first request for a drop shipment we had ever received from a customer and we did not kow the market rate for such a service. I do not belive we are lacking scruples. We might have missed this price point for this transaction but we did not mislead you or charge you for anything. Unfortunately we lost a price battle on this one and that sometimes happens in business. We price our services just as others price thier services and you have the right to take it or not. As mentioned in our initial response, we now know differently and can be more competitive in the future. Once again we are sorry we could not assist you in this situation. If you would like to discuss this over the phone you are more than welcome to contact Tom Gill, simply call the dealership and ask for him, he is always happy to talk with customers.Lt. Garth P

TOM GILL CHEVY RESPONSE IS HEREBY ABSOLUTELY REJECTED. In my professional opinion Tom Gill Chevy didn't bother to come up with a fair researched price/customer satisfaction. I feel they thought it looked like a big Easy Payday and if someone inquired RECENTLY there would still no evidence (or even written Tom Gill dealer guidance) that they learned anything the interaction and potential further business. (in this case "others loss of interest" in dealing with them.) PS: Lack of preparedness and claiming ignorance by a business is no excuse. Ditto "sorry" seems very hollow in my professional opinion of 50 plus yrs. of engineering, business transactions etc.. BEWARE CAR BUYERS!Review fromDana H

Very poor business to deal with, wouldnt recommend anyone buy anything from them..They wouldnt give me a deposit back after I decided to go another route on a different car. I did sign a document that said clearly I would not get a down payment back because of holding the vehicle, but had it in good faith that if I changed my mind it wouldnt be a problem. They did not sell me a product or perform a service and Im sure they sold the vehicle shortly after I was there. Just not people I want to do business with or would recommend to anyone else. Not a business of character!!!Tom Gill Chevrolet

******************,We are sorry you are dissatisfied with the outcome of your transaction. Per our policy you did place a non-refundable deposit to take a vehicle off the market. In accordance with that agreement we did take that vehicle off the market in expectation of your desire to purchase the car. Thank you for your consideration.Review fromJessica M
