    I paid S&R Tree Service a check for $1,350 to cut up and dispose of a Weeping Willow tree that was blown down during a storm. In our discussion. part of the money was to be used to do some leveling of my yard since the tree was already on the ground. Well he cut up and hauled the tree away and said he would return to grind the stump. This went on for weeks, kept telling me I was scheduled for the next stump day. After 2 months of this I said if you can’t do it this week, don’t come back because I needed that fixed a long time ago in order to do the landscaping at the correct time of year. So what it amounts to is he charged me $1,350 for $650 of work and I feel he took advantage of my paying him before he finished the job and you shouldn’t have to hold back on paying just to make sure they come back to finish the job they agreed to.

    The invoice/ receipt states that the customer paid for the clean up of the tree on the house.  The ground leveling was not part of the estimate nor added to the job.
