    I ordered a Greenheck replacement plenum on 3/27/2023 from Greenheck's local distributor EAP Inc.. The cost was $5,150 and EAP was paid in advance. Because of a long lead time, 30 weeks, we chose to take another route. Later we were told the ship date was 4/27/2023. We cancelled it on 4/17/2023. We have been charged a cancellation fee of $3,090. There is no explanation of how this was calculated. Please see EAP quote, Greenheck's Terms and Conditions attached , Greenheck's cancelation charge as well an email string. No one at Greenheck or EAP will explain to me how this was calculated.

    Thank you for
    the opportunity to respond to this BBB complaint. This matter is the subject of
    a good-faith collection dispute between this commercial Customer, Greenheck Fan
    Corporation (“Greenheck”), and Greenheck’s distributor, Environmental Air
    Products, Inc. (“EAP”), involving the manufacture of a made-to-order bypass
    plenum. The Customer pre-paid EAP to have Greenheck manufacture a made-to-order bypass plenum. When the Customer cancelled the order ten (10) days before
    shipment, EAP refunded the Customer all
    pre-paid amounts less a contractually authorized 60% cancellation fee, which
    was paid to Greenheck (the made to-order-bypass plenum could not be resold and was scrapped). EAP has explained the cancellation fee to the Customer on different occasions
    in efforts to resolve the dispute. Due to the fact that this good faith collection
    dispute (the amount owed Greenheck by the Customer allegedly being in dispute) remains ongoing, we are not at
    liberty to offer further comment.
