We purchased our home from Clear Sight Homes or Clear Sight Construction LLC as it shows in our contracts on May 9, 2022. We will start with them sending us a change order 2 hours before we were to close on the home even after they told us our change order would be included in the closing costs. We were happy to purchase our barely finished home and already noticed the driveway was done sub par with very rough corners because they pulled their framework too early. We get in the house and instantly notice a crack in a cabinet, and malformations of each of the showers that have yet to be fixed 11 months later which they have known about since 1 week after closing.
The major complaint is the rudeness and lack of awareness of the company as a whole. The first instance where we realized we were in for a crazy experiment was when we were signing a contract to put a deposit on the house and hold it and then sent us a document of buying a piece of land without any information on the house. So we asked for the detailed house demographics before we signed it and moved on.
They were very fast to respond before we had purchased the property and now ignore every mode of communication with us. It generally take 3+ emails and a week of time to get a reply from Bre or Archie (owner).
They still have keys to our house they never gave to us as well.
We currently have a health code issue as there is a water leak somewhere in our bathroom and they are refusing to answer to calls and emails about fixing it under warranty. There is mold in our laundry room downstairs and we told them this a week ago and it is getting worse. We have since not used upstairs water using units in the bathroom to avoid worse damage but we have emailed 3 times and called 3 times to Clear Sight and reached out to the plumber two time to no resolution. We are concerned they will not do anything about it and we will be forced to pay for something we use correctly. (Also mold is concerning)

My name is ****** ****** and I submitted this complaint in April. I have an additional complaint for Clear Sight Homes. They have come to clear out the water damage that we initially wrote the first complaint about in early June 2023 and did a walkthrough punch out list for us so they could see what was wrong (even though we had already sent them the list in June 2022). They were supposed to take care of this before our one year closing date which should have been the second week of May. I have sent multiple emails to both the owner Archie S**** (a************************** **********************), and his family member secretary Bre S*********************************), to see if they are going to fix the hole in the wall they left from the water damage and the final punch out list for our new home. during the 'punchout walkthrough' on June 6th 2023 we were told by Bre that she would reach out to us sometime after her meeting with Archie about the list after Wednseday (June 7th 2023). Here it is September 26, 2023 and no response from the company and there is still a hole in our wall from the water damage. We just want to live in our new house that shouldn't have any issues.

Please let me know if I can be of any help,

    ****** ******

    Business Response

    Date: 11/15/2023

I would first like to address the comment on the change order. We discussed this with them in person that because of the extra concrete work they had us complete prior to closing we were going to be sending a change order. The agent involved never said this change order was supposed to be included in the purchase price. This was not a build to order home, but we treated it as such. Prior to closing they had an opportunity to do a punch out/ blue tape walkthrough, this would not have been an option typically. At that time we informed ****** this would be the last opportunity to get anything addressed prior to closing. We have a 1 year warranty but not everything mentioned above is covered. His time to bring these things to our attention was at the walkthrough we had prior to the closing. We do not have keys to their property. We are currently working with ****** to schedule a time to complete the warranty items he has asked for. I sent an email to get this scheduled on 11/12 and a follow up email on 11/13 and still do not have a response. The lack of communication is prevalent on both sides. I do apologize for my lack of response, I own 20+ companies and constantly running in different directions. We are trying to make things right. Our warranty process does not happen over night there are steps we have to take as a smaller company to get things accomplished in an efficient but timely manner.
