    3/16/25 I paid $878.70 for my son ****** ***** to play on a Griffin Elite team and receive gear from this team. After only a few games The coach removed me from the communication group for this team. We never received the slides, bag, uniforms that were in the agreement. I contacted ***** *********** ** ************ to resolve the above issues and he did not. He ignored me. After paying and committing to this team that cancelled games prior to the coach removing me from the group, did not provide paid for gear and removed me from the group it has now caused my son to miss out on a summer of ball with an AAU team. I ask a full refund due to the above issues.

    I have made clear to the parent that the refund will be issued for the gear that was paid for. The rest of the fee has already been spent on tournament fees and coach expenses like hotels and gas reimbursement. The parent removed herself from the parent group message then claimed she was actually removed by the coach. You can see in her own messages that she screenshot where it says "you left the conversation". She was not on my team directly and apparently clashed with the coach for her son's team. She blamed the issues on the coach of her son's team, not the organization itself. I am attaching my screenshots of my communication with the parent/complainer. This is an issue of a parent being mad at a coach. This is a frivolous complaint and a waste of time for all involved.

    I am rejecting this response because:

    I did not remove myself from any group. The screenshot I sent clearly shows I was removed by the coach! 
    I have nothing personally against the organization or coach. No bad words or situation happened for me to ask for the refund!

    I am requesting the refund due to being removed without a reason, the director lied saying he told me I would be refunded gear, he also is lying saying all funds have been spent because they cancelled several of the scheduled games that our players was promised to play in due to not thinking the boys was ready. So if games was cancelled where did that money go? No new games was added to the schedule. The boys have been promised gear for over 3 months! This was not what I signed up for and they are not a professional organization I want myself or my son to be a part of! 

    I also added more screenshots from the group of other parents frustrated with the uniforms and gear that was promised not being here. 
    This is not a personal complaint. I paid for services and items that were not provided by this organization!

    This mother and her son were barely at any games, according to the coach. She committed her son to playing on a team that was farther away for her and then asked for a refund when she couldn't make the travel. A partial refund of $250 has been issued to her to cover the cost of the gear that she didn't receive. That gear is going to end up forcing me to eat the cost of it because she signed her son up for a team they couldn't travel to. The team's coach told me yesterday via text message "She told me he wasn't going to able to play no more." And ""I don't even think she's ever been to a tournament. I can't remember talk to her".

    The money that went to tournaments is already over $3000, alone. $1600 of which went to the league that this team plays in. Just because a player and his mom don't come to an event doesn't mean it doesn't get played. This team has even won a tournament as recently as May. 

    With the partial refund issued, I consider this matter closed and wish them well in their future endeavors.

    I am rejecting this response because:

    I have never stated the games was to far. I knew where the games was when I was given a schedule. Practices was unknown but had only posted a handful in which my child attended a few. His attendance is not why I should not receive a refund it is because the organization was paid, never supplied gear and removed me from the communication group as soon as I simply asked one time about the gear money. Instead of being professional and responding the coach removed me from the team. The director did not respond after I contacted him. 

    We live in a small town and traveling is required if we want to play with/against people to help my child grow as a player. I thought this coach and organization was a great opportunity. Now I see the money is collected and they do what they want after that. 

    My son missed the last game due to a car wreck and that was clearly communicated by his father! 

    I have not communicated to anyone that the games/ practices was to far. I do know another mother was given $300 back for gear because it has been 3 months and no gear. 

    I request the entire amount because your coach removed me from the group, my son was then removed from the team and it has been 3 months since paying for services/supplies we did not receive. 

    I attached proof the coach cancelled a game and other practices. You cannot take money from a person expect to cancel events and not provide the gear that is paid for. 
     
    This director/ coach lied saying I removed myself from the group ( I attached proof earlier I did not) now lying saying I told him and/or the coach the commute was more than expected.
