Contractor ****** **** took on four projects at my residence quoting the following prices - concrete pad repair $7,000, concrete pad resurface $5,000, pool resurface $5,000 then changed to $7,000 based on how the job was going, drive way seal and repair $5,000. He said the jobs would require half up front and half upon completion. He cashed a check on 4/29/24 for $3,500 and began concrete repair. He broke up a few feet of concrete leaving crumbled chunks and a hole behind. He stated he could not continue at this time and started pool resurface. He and another gentleman worked on this project for about 20 combined hours over several trips to my property. He then stated he could not purchase material to complete the project and asked me to buy the material. I purchased the material for $3,300 from ************ It is now at my house and he has discontinued this repair. He asked me to go ahead and order the material for drive way $767. He then started to seal my driveway and dumped bags of patch on the ground. He sealed about 1/5 of the driveway and said he needed $1,000 to be able to make payroll and have gas to get back and forth which I paid. He then disappeared for two weeks. It is now 7/22 he has started three projects and has not been back since 7/3.. the contractor has changed contact info several times and will not show up to complete projects. I will eat the material cost of $4,000 plus I have paid because I do have the material that hasn’t been used

On June 4th, 2024, in the late afternoon ***** ****** **** pulled into my residence at **** ********* ****** ************* *** He stated at that time that he was getting the word out to promote his business and wanted to give us a quote to seal our driveway. We advised *** **** that our driveway didn’t need to be sealed but that we would take a quote for a drain repair that needed to be done. The following day *** **** brought the estimate to our house in the amount of 3500.00. He advised he would need a down payment in the amount of 1750.00 and a bank transfer from my ******** ****** ****** ***** Account to *** ****’s ******* ****** ****** ***** Account was completed on June 7, 2024. On June 10, 2024, *** **** arrived at our residence and used a circular saw to cut a portion of our existing driveway out see photo attached. He worked no more than an hour and called to tell me that he could purchase the rock to line our drain ditch if we wanted to add another 1000.00. I transferred another 1000.00 dollars to his account on June 10th, 2024. When no other work had been completed by June 27th, I tried reaching out to *** **** and his phone had been disconnected. I paid for an online background check which led me to his mother, and I reached out to her about the matter of getting in touch with him. He texted me later that evening and I advised him that I would need to at least see some progress at the business location before the following Monday if we wanted to keep working together. I advised him if no progress had been made that I would require a refund for work not completed at the business and a full refund for my residence. From June 10th to the current date July 8, 2024, no other work has been completed. An email was sent to him requesting a refund in the amount of 2750.00 and that would need to be made by no later than July 5, 2024.
