    I recently found out I was paying for a 5th phone line I had thought was closed. When I went in to inquire about this for the 3rd time. It was only then that 2 employees told me I needed to call 611 to close it completely out. I asked them why was this never mentioned to me before seeing I had shut it off forever ago and had inquired about it since to which they replied, “it’s just not information they offer up.” Seriously? I feel like they have been stealing from me. More than $36 dollars a month for God knows how long wasted to keep a useless line open. For what? When you go in to try to save money on your bill why not offer that information then? So many opportunities for multiple employees to inform me about this. This is insane to me. That is BAD business! Not informing customers about information they need is the same as lying to me. We work too hard to throw our money away. I am so disappointed in this company. I would never do business with them again. They do not respect their customers and disclose necessary information. BUYER BEWARE!!! In my opinion I need a refund back dated to when I shut this phone off. They can see it has clearly not been been used.

    There service in southeast KY is hit and miss. There customer service is awful and you're on the phone for hours. You cannot get a hold of no one about anything after 5:00. I should have stuck with Verizon.

    Unfortunately I have to give a one star rating but if possible it would be a zero star rating. To anyone considering cell phone service, try to find any other provider besides Appalachian Wireless. They have more service outages than other providers and of course they don’t care that you’re unable to use a service you’re paying for. So when you request them to prorate you due to not being able to use their service it’s unthinkable.

    The level of service is unacceptable. Since they began their 5G rollout they've essentially dropped the LTE and 3G (the latter being perfectly understandable). This would be on the whole fine almost. But it's been three years and they're still configuring 5G. I was even told that they DON'T KNOW HOW. Why they won't consult help I'll never know. But if the instruction book isn't making sense I know from experience that it's time to contract! Equipment is INSTALLED from what I understand. One guy I know of in my home county was told by customer service that it was possible that he would never receive service in his area again. Talk about pathetic! Can you imagine having a local monopoly basically dominating all of mobile communications, perfectly reliable until the 5G upgrade and then hearing essentially that they don't care if you receive service or not??? But they'll let you pay for it. There's been talk of a class action suit against Operation Clueless. I hope it happens soon. Because I'm tired of paying literally hundreds of dollars a month to what happens to be the most incompetent and lackadaisical company in the history of the state.

    Zero stars and something should be done about them!!!! Love people into contracts and then change the service so that their phones no longer work! A very poor way to do business!!!

    I pay way more than I should but am lucky to even have one bar at my house. at one time I had 3 bars, but over the last few years it has progressively gotten worse. Even down town you’re lucky to have 3 bars. No 5G. The LTE is more like 3G. I legit have nothing good to say about this company. If I had ANY other opinion I would switch in a heart beat, they do not care about their customers. Completely unreliable company.

    I had tried accessing the Appalachian Wireless website to possibly purchase new devices for my family only to find out the website was supposedly temporarily down for upgrades and I was unable to make any purchases online and that was early last year. Needless to say I just went with another carrier where I was able to make my purchases online and everything went smooth with zero problems. So anyways I ended up being ask by a good friend if I could help him to purchase a phone online and that his grandson used Appalachian Wireless and my friend says I tried going to the Appalachian Wireless website but couldn't see anywhere that I could make a purchase for a device and that's why he had ask for my help to see if possibly he was just doing something wrong or what. Now immediately my mind goes back to last year when I myself was in the same situation when attempting to purchase new devices and I thought surely to God these people at Appalachian Wireless has gotten that issue taken care of where my friend should now be able to make his purchase. Well that's what I get for thinking and low and behold yes the option to make any online purchases well over a year, probably closer to a year and a half later these folks at Appalachian Wireless has that same " online store is temporarily down for upgrade " posted on the website. I'm sure glad that I didn't decide to go find the Appalachian Wireless store last year and follow through with my purchases after reading these complaints on here as this company obviously does not have it together with providing customers with satisfactory service at minimum.

    Zero stars, which is the same number as the bars on our phones. Before they started working on our tower we had 4 bars. Now my signal strength has either SOS or dashes. Can’t even call next door neighbors, unless we use Messenger or Facebook. We’ve called numerous times and visited the store in Pikeville numerous times, with zero results. However, we still get a bill for the same amount, but have virtually no service, even with WiFi. When we try to call out, most of the time it shows “Call Failed “. I try to keep in touch with my 92-year old mother and most of the time, it shows call failed. This is rediculous, not to mention frustrating! This is not an isolated case. Facebook is full of others in our neighborhood with the same problem.

    I think this company is selling customers new phone service knowing that they are not going to have service like they had before and the customers is signing a new contract and Appalachian Wireless know this and then the customers still have to paid the bill not getting what they paid for and they won"t do anything about it they don't care if it ruins your credit. If they would had told me about the service I would have not sign a new contract. Thank you, Debora M.

    phone hasn’t worked properly from setup of day one…got an Iphone w/ promotion and had to go back and forth from store locations to get sim chip cause network was off and on as they blamed it for complications …. COULD NOT GET CALLS;…..outgoing and especially incoming…..misdeed local calls, job interviews, and Dr. calls!!!!! ……then was told it was regional “Roaming” issue , but not warned about that prior to purchase…..stuck w/ a ph. that can’t take or get calls! & now $$$$hundreds owed because of keeping a non working ph. & now APPALACHIAN WIRELESS IS JUST LIKE “OH Well….”! WORST EXPERIENCE EVER
