      I contracted with this builder to build my home. I was told the home would be ready for me to live in on 10/23/23. I moved from another state and arrived to occupy my home on that date. What I came to could only be described as an active construction site. There was no lock on the front door, I had no garage doors, the house was filthy with construction debris. There were no shower doors installed, cabinets were installed incorrectly so that drawers couldn't open properly, a hole in the wall of the master bath. That is a short list of problems. Five weeks later and I still do not have garage doors, I still have a hole in my wall. Windows have never been properly caulked or sealed so the freezing air and drafts are permeating my home. I have withheld payment of his last fees because I need the house to be completed. He has threatened to put a lien on my home for lack of payment, even though he has not fulfilled his obligation in completing my home. He is an unethical business person who has mismanaged this project from all aspects from day one. I need my home to be completed and I need him out of my life.

      We provided the homeowner a Certificate of Occupancy on 10/22/23. The builder worked to complete the final punch list thereafter. The homeowner made significant changes and hired an interior designer independently which delayed this project. A one year Builder warranty along with a significant Builder fee discount was provided at end of project. Any final adjustments needed to home will be scheduled by the Builder during the warranty period.

      I am rejecting this response because:

      The final punch list has still not been completed.  Additionally, I hired an independent home inspection company to evaluate my home and they came up with a list of items which should be addressed.  When I shared that with the builder, he said he would get around to it, eventually. 

      That is not an acceptable response. I need the noted issues completed, as he has still not fully upheld his end of our contract, which was to complete the home build.  There are items he left incomplete.
